I am hoping to lose 35 lbs this year… lost around 48 already from Jan last year… changing to a low carb high fat diet as my weight loss stopped on the old plan from about November last year… so far I have lost about 161lbs on the low carb high fat so far…

I started counting calories and increasing my workouts on January 6 (so pretty much exactly a month ago) and have already lost 13 lbs. In the past few weeks there hasn’t been a day where I had more than 1500 calories a day; most days I stay under 1300. I also cut back on wheat, fat and white sugar. After a few failed weight loss attempts I must say I’m pretty pleased and proud of myself already (even though I’m still way too lazy when it comes to working out). Ideally I’d like to lose another 20 lbs before my first dress fitting in May. I definitely think I can do it, even though I know it won’t go as fast as the first ten lbs. So yay for weight loss support! 🙂

I see a dietician. At one point, she had me on a (short term, not permanent) meal plan that consisted of:
– All the water I wanted, but no other fluids (aside from my protein shakes). WATER ONLY.
– 3 protein shakes per day. They had to have a minimum of 20g of protein, maximum of 200cal and no more than 5g of sugar. I opted for Premier Protein shakes (30g protein, 160cal, 1g sugar).
– 1 Lean Cuisine OR Weight Watchers frozen meal per day (my choice of which). I opted for Lean Cuisine because they’re cheaper, and I varied my entree selections.
– 1 serving of non-starchy vegetables per day, raw or steamed. (Lists of non-starchy veggies can easily be found online.) I pretty much stuck to carrots, jicama, broccoli, and edamame (my partner and I went out for sushi twice, and I just had edamame).
I lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. And it definitely wasn’t water weight, because I had been consistently loosing weight before that (this was a “get past the plateau” meal plan).

Currently a size 18 wedding dress bought a 14, got 4 months to go :/
on the bright side I have lost ten pounds but mainly because I need gallbladder surgery so I’m on a strict diet but hey progress is progress

GOING DRESS SHOPPING THIS WEEKEND, I STARTED FEB 1ST WITH REALLY WATCHING WHAT I EAT AND IM TRYING TO GET IN WORKOUTS BUT ITS KINDA HARD BECAUSE OF WORK, BABY, HOUSEWORK, ETC. I HAVE LOST INCHES AND ABOUT 5 POUNDS.

So I am getting frustrated with feelling like I get two steps forward and one back. I was down 11lbs since Jan 17th and then overnight up 4lbs I am hoping that it’s hormonal and just water weight but it still feels like a huge set back.
Also does anyone else get anxious when trying to select something to eat? I do especially if I can’t see what the nutrition is.

My wedding is next year so I’m not feeling as much pressure but at 4’11” and 185 pounds, I really want to slim down before I go dress shopping. I don’t want to get married or be married at my size. Would love to drop at least 15 by April (we are taking a trip to Europe).

Glad to see everyone trying hard! My coach works with me to do sample meal plans every week to be ready for the next and she has me put it square on my fridge (even though I use fitness apps). Helps me to see it everyday. Find this helps a lot. Down 10 lbs this week that I’m really excited about. She told me she was fine with me sharing the template in case anyone wants it, so feel free to PM me for it. Does anyone do pilates or mainly cardio? I love pilates – feel stretched out when I do it!

Count me in for joining a weight loss support group! I’m planning to lose about 20 pounds by my late May wedding. So far, I’ve found that drinking tons of water and walking more has helped a lot. I even got a fit bit recently 🙂 Oh, and having weight “rewards” at various goal milestone weights is helpful, I hear, but I have yet to hit a milestone, as I just started a few weeks ago.

I’m down to join. My goal is 20 by June. I’ve lost 10 already. It’s been so hard to keep losing despite healthy eating and exercise. How does the 21 day fix work? How many lbs could one expect to lose in that time?

I’m in! I need to lose 20 or so by September. Currently doing a squat challenge at work–we’re weird like that.
