A week later and I am down another 1.2 pounds to 167.4, so I’m happy with that! Unfortunately being a shortie (5’3) it’s hard to lose higher than that, even though I would love to average a 1.5 pound loss weekly. My body just doesn’t need as much fuel as some of you tall, lofty people so I can’t create the calorie deficit I need to lose the weight.
At the moment, I’m just happy to finally step on to a scale and not see a 12-something (I work in stones – UK). This is actually, according to my Myfitnesspal app, the lightest I have ever been in at least two years. I’ve tried on and off to lose this extra weight I accumulated over the past few years since moving in with my Fiance but this is the longest stint I have actually -stuck- to something. Seeing that I’m finally not seeing that dreaded ’12’ anymore, it actually motivates me even more to keep doing what I’m doing and watch as the 11 I’m loving now, becomes a 12!
Unfortunately I don’t realistically have the time to be the original weight I was when I first met Fiance, which was around 145, by the time I’ll have my first dress fitting which will probably be in mid-June. I only have 14 weeks since then and I average about a pound a week. That will put me at 153, which is close! At the very least, I should just about be able to see a 10 on the scale, which I would be ecstatic about!
I’ll still aim for 145 by 18 June. If I don’t get it, I’ll still be smaller than I have been in years and stronger from all the gym sessions, so I won’t be disappointed! To get to 145 will be 22 pounds, so just over 1.5 pounds a week. It’s a massive ask, but I will give it a darn good go!
