@MarieeToBee:  I just signed up today – not for the wedding though. I have anxiety and a family history of hypothyroidism, so I’ve been making myself go to the gym for 30 minutes of cardio three days a week and decided to register for WW online as a way to help keep myself healthy.

I am 5’6″ and probably weigh somewhere around 150lbs. at the moment (I tend to feel more comfortable when I’m 145lbs. max; my pants are tighter than usual and that makes me a bit uncomfortable throughout the day). I haven’t been eating great lately (anxiety) and thought it would be good to look for a bit of guidance. Definitely helps that my BFF lost a ton of weight after signing up about 2 years ago – she is more than willing to give me recipes and tips. ๐Ÿ™‚

@LoggerHead91207:  Ugh, I can relate in eating badly due to anxiety. ๐Ÿ™

I brought a bunch of veggies and other healthy stuffs to work this morning so I am motivated to eat well during the day and not stop for fast food at lunch!  I admit that is my pitfall and my excuse is “oh this is the one time of day I can eat whatever without worrying if this is what Darling Husband wants too”  No more!!

@mrs_pudding_pop:  It stinks. I usually wind up craving salt and sweets – oddly enough, I don’t have a tough time saying no to fast food. I usually run to the store for a single serving of chips or Starbucks for a sweet drink.

It also doesn’t help that Fiance and I moved in together 6 months ago and just haven’t been making the most nutritious meals (could be a lot worse).

@LoggerHead91207:  My husband and I packed on some poundage when we first moved in together… lots of happy hours and late night eating badly led to us looking at each other on the couch one night and saying “hmmm… let’s stop this!”

We haven’t been 100% sucessful, obviously, as he is still struggling with his weight and I am joining WW, but trying is better than doing nothing!

@mrs_pudding_pop:  Exactly! I haven’t weighed myself in a long time, but I can tell I have put on a bit of weight. I still fit into all my clothes, but I want to reverse course before it gets out of hand. My belly is bigger than usual; I attributed it to bloating for a while, but with bloating it always goes back down after a while (it has a bit, but its bigger than it was last year).

I blame the boy and the holidays for this (and my inability to say no to sweets). Lol!

So, I have a question – how often do you gals use your extra points?  Do you just use them when you know you have a special occasion coming up, or do you sprinkle them in throughout the week?  And does using them each week automatically mean you’ll stay the same or gain?

@mrs_pudding_pop:  I mostly save them if I know I have a dinner out, but normally I just stay within my points…. although this week has been tough, my stress levels have been high and I’m craving carbs boo!

@mrs_pudding_pop:

So did you join yet?! How do you like it? I remember when I first joined I was like IMG I’m going to starve to death! Lol, bit after I adjusted & started seeing results, it was amazing!

As far as the extra points go, I would usually sprinkle some in throughout the day, maybe like 1 to 3 extras, then use the rest for a “cheat day” ๐Ÿ™‚ I DEFINATELY used all my points every week. It did nor affect my weight loss at all. In fact, once they bumped me up to my “maintenance” points after I hit goal, I lost even more! Then I got pregnant & quit lol. Now I’m about to join again ๐Ÿ™‚

In the last few minutes watching the Womens gold medal game didn’t help my stress level, lol!!

@okqueenbee:  Not yet, another couple of weeks.  I am trying to incorporate some of the habits now though… I am sure I am off some but basically bringing veggies and healthy snacks to work, etc.

I’m so glad I have a supportive Darling Husband with me through all of this.  He loves it when I make stuff off skinnytaste so when I tell him she does WW pts for everything he’ll probably be all “ok, more ST recipes, yeah!” lol

@mrs_pudding_pop: I need to try that website! My hubby isn’t a fan of low fat stuff unless it doesn’t taste low fat.

As far as healthy snacks go, it’s a lot easier for me to eat fresh fruit than vegetables, so I eat a lot of apples, grapes & bananas.

I really only like raw veggies if they’re dipped in something lol. That defeats the purpose ๐Ÿ™‚
