Hi!! *waves* I’m surprised nobody else has commented because I know there are lots of WW brides on here.. we used to have a weekly check in thread.. hmmm! I have been on WW for about 10 weeks and have dropped eight pounds. I am happy with my progress because the plan is totally liveable for me, I can still eat marshmallow peeps, have pizza, etc, it’s all about the tracking!! I need to start being a little more diligent about tracking on the weekends though, because I’d like to start losing a little bit faster. As for plateaus… I have no good advice 🙁 They suck.. maybe watch out for the BLTs… Bites, Licks and Tastes.. because they really add up!

thanks!

I want to join again, but I can’t afford it. I was going to borrow all the materials that my parents had from it, but my mom tossed it all. I always just exercised a bit more and ate fewer points than I was allotted to adjust for plateaus.

@tashawilson WW doesn’t provide food when you sign up. Just guides and weekly weigh-ins. You can buy food from them, mostly snack bars and that sort of thing.

@VTGirl, oh yes, a drab winter definitely makes you want to eat!!

Congrats for doing well this week.. I made a plate of peanut butter cookies for a St. Patrick’s day dinner we’re having tonight and I ate a few of them.. whoops!!

I LOVE WW! I did it in the past, back in college and lost the weight I wanted to. Now that I’m engaged, I’m back on. I’ve lost 25 lbs so far. It works when you follow the plan!

I just started up again!  I lost about 40 pounds before our wedding (20 of which happened in about 6 weeks on WW) and I started taking birth control again after we got married and gained every ounce of it back!  So I quit the BC, and am back on WW.  I’ve only been at it for about 3 days, but here’s hoping it does what it did last time–and that I can keep it off this time!

It really, really works if you’re committed!!  I lost 6 pounds the first week the last time I did it!

I am turning 25 on May 13… So my goal is 25 for 25! I have 17 left to go, is this possible before May 13?!

@Sweetheart–you can do it!!!  Just stay focused and maybe get a few minutes of extra exercise or eat a few calories less than normal.  And p.s. I turn 24 on the 17th!  Yay May babies!

@pieceacake, THANK YOU! And Happy May Birthday to you too!

@Tashawilson, yep, you go to the grocery store and buy all of your own food -healthy stuff – but you can still eat candy, popcorn, etc – You can eat ANYTHING, you just have to learn how to “count it” (they give you a book and a calculator thing), and then track it and stay within your points. So like tonight, I made a huge chicken salad for dinner with all grocery store ingredients, and it was 8 points (400 calories). So I am on the 39.99 per month plan where that pays for unlimited meetings, once weekly weigh in, etc, but I make and buy all of my own food. They do sell their brand food at grocery stores, but there’s no need buy it unless you want to! They have a yummy Smart Ones Frozen Three Cheese Ziti, and their icecreams are really yummy! When you join, let us know, we can share with you some great low-point, inexpensive food!
