Good luck! I too did it about six years ago for a year and lost 50 pounds.  I then managed to put it all back and then some. Mostly b/c I am a stress eater and life was a bit rough there for a while.

Back on the program and down 19 pounds in 11 weeks!  I know it works when I stick to it. And I am very motivated right now.

I know you said you are a stress eater and so am I.  Honestly I haven’t had any desire to stress eat with the wedding planning. I know I have a bigger goal: to be happy with myself on my wedding day.  Its been great.  Sure some days I am mean b/c I just want chocolate or friend food, but I find ways to indugle just bit to stop the craving.  Writing down makes you realize how much you eat too.  Half of a half gallon of icecream or a package of goldfish? Not worth the points.

Rant and blabber away and good luck again!

I just saw you 2nd post.  I got to meetings but don’t always stay.  I have to go to the meeting to weigh in or I won’t hold myself accountable.  I did the monthly pass so I have etools.  Love being able to update and check anytime either online or on my phone.

New program isn’t that different just a different way of caluclating points but same concept.  I do the points plus.

@PoeticDoveInLA:  I am just doing the online program.  I am midway through week three and have lost 1.5 pounds so far.  I know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but I am really happy with it.  My goal is 10 lbs total.

I actually don’t mind the program.  It is tough because I love pasta and soda.  I will say it has made me much more aware of the caloric content of what I was putting in my body.  While I do not plan on doing this forever, it has taught me a lot about being more concious of what I am eating.

Fi & I have been doing WW online for about 4 months and it’s been great! I’m struggling a bit right now because of a lot of outside pressures, but I feel pretty good and it’s giving me a lot more structure than I would have otherwise.

You can do it! πŸ™‚

I’m on my 2nd week of WW, although this week is the first week I’m actually trying. I gained .2 lbs my first week, who GAINS weight their first week at WW?? So I’m counting this week as my first week. I’m doing meetings with etools because I need both.  Really, I don’t know how anyone can track with just writing it down – I like having the computer do it for me! I also like that I can blog on their site, I don’t really like their boards, but I do like to blog!

@PoeticDoveInLA:  I’m all about putting it out there, venting, and being honest about my weight loss – I’m down for a support group!

@DEBeachGirl:  Yay, almost date twin! πŸ™‚

So, I just got back from the gym, I’m trying to earn enough AP this week to support a cake tasting on Monday night! How many points do you think would support 2 hours of constant cake and champagne? πŸ™‚

@LibraryBride2013:  Well you see, the bubbles react with the cake and form around the calories, and they pass right through!

πŸ˜‰

…those are the kinds of things that get me, those special events where I’m not overeating but I am making food choices that aren’t WW friendly. I have entries that are like this: “Bridal shower: 49 points”

I’m on week three of WW and I’ve lost about 4lbs so far…and lost an inch around my waist.  I’m trying desparately not to use my activity and weekly points – but I won’t lie, I give in to temptation and eat them sometimes.  I don’t know why I’m so stingy about them!  FI is also doing WW with me and he’s lost 8 pounds in the same amount of time.  Good motivation, except its really depressing seeing my 29points a day vs his 45!!

My biggest issue is meal planning. When I get rushed I make bad choices and I hate eating out now!!  Good luck ladies!!

@marthanotstewart:  You can’t compare to the guys!  My dad and brother are doing it with me (my mom is too, but she’s not part of this story!) and in the first week my dad lost 11 lbs, and my brother lost 8.5, yeah, I’d be happy to lose what they lost in one week in an entire month! It’s seriously unfair. ARGH boys.

@atalante:  At least you count it! I’m trying to bank at least an extra 40 activity points for the week. I know it sounds like a lot. But I got 9 today, and if I go to the gym every day between now and Monday… I MIGHT be able to do it.  89 points should cover it?  Lol.

I’m sorta kinda following WW but don’t have time to go to meetings b/c I’m in medical school…not a great reason, I know, but there it is. πŸ™‚ My mom got me a kit and I try to point things out at the grocery store, and I usually do okay with breakfast and lunch, and packing healthy snacks, but by the time I get home for dinner, I’m so tired I just grab whatever sounds good…even if it’s mac and cheese or a piece of cake. πŸ™‚ I’m hoping to get more active now that the weather is getting nicer here in MI. I’ll also have more time when we’re finished with school in May. Thanks for going public and good luck!
