Happy Friday, Gals.
How were your weeks? I had a bit of a stressful week, but this morning’s weigh-in cheered me up. I lost five pounds this week. I swears I’m eating! As most of you know, I have a long journey ahead of me, and the more weight you have to lose, the more that comes off at the beginning. Plus, some of that is still probably water weight- but I’m DEFINITELY not complaining! Just noticed it in my face this morning and a coworker mentioned something yesterday about how I look like I’ve lost (I decided not to tell anyone at work so I’d get some affirmation if anyone noticed).
What about the rest of you lovelies?

This was a bad week for me. Up 1.8lbs this morning.
I’ve been alternating between not eating at all and eating terribly salty foods since Tues. My grandmother has been not well and she passed away yesterday. So I’ve been going straight home after work and ordering take out because I haven’t felt like doing anything.
I may go for a walk in the park with a friend tonight and I’m horseback riding this weekend. So hopefully that will help.
I’m hoping this 1.8lbs is mainly water retention due to salty foods and dehydration (from too much crying).
@Mrs. Meowerson: Congrats on your weight loss, that is fantastic! Makes you want to keep working harder doesn’t it?

My scale is terrible but I think I lost about 4 pounds this week, bringing me to 11 pounds total in 3 weeks. I can’t believe how quickly the weight has fallen off so far, but I guess that’s what happens when you go from my old HORRIBLE eating habits to my new super-healthy diet.
I expect the loss to slow down after this week.

@Ms. Meowerson: Ooooh, congrats! I’ve actually gained a pound back :(. This week’s goal is to learn how to balance healthy foods with what I typically eat so I don’t lose it and over-indulge when I have a bad week like this one was :P.

I had my second weigh in last night and I was down 3 lbs, so 6 lbs total. I was super encouraged…and while I don’t think I’ll be able to that that every week, it’s so nice to see a change on the scale.
Do a lot of you ladies attend the meetings?

@Mrs. Meowerson: OMG, congrats that’s awesome news!! Wow, what a huge accomplishment.
Well I did work out twice which was great and I lost just a couple ounces. I’m only about 1/2 lb from my goal that I’m hoping to reach and maintain. Darling Husband and I will probably go jogging tomorrow or Sun which will help as well, but this is when all the after hours events start at my job so during the week will be tough. Darling Husband has also been working late so I have to do a lot more errands, cooking and cleaning which makes it tough to go running after work. But overall very happy with my progress!
As far as eating, I really eat way too much pasta in general (my favorite food), but have been incorporating more veggies in overall. I also cut way back on alcohol which has helped.

Great job everyone! I am going to sign up for WW tomorrow morning so I will report back then, although I obviously won’t have a loss to report 🙂
@KatNYC2011: I am so sorry about your G-ma. Take time to grieve, we’re all here to support you!

@Miss Britt: not a fan of the meetings in my area, so that’s why i started this group =)

@jo.lee: i found that drinking tons of water at my desk during the day helped tremendously. sounds silly, but it can kinda fill you up, too.

Are you doing it online and reporting to the bee? Just curious. Times are a little tough right now as far as money and planning the wedding so in January i wanted to sign up for weight watchers online.

@Mrs.MedinaJr: That’s what I do!
And thanks, Mrs. Meowerson, I’ve been trying to do that. I have awful cravings for pop that coffee can’t cure, and I’ve been only getting diet. That seems to help a bit, but last week was my birthday so there’s been cake at the house, which just isn’t helpful :P.

Wow! Congrats to everyone on their weightloss!! I just started back on WW this week (Sunday) and I have lost 3lbs!! Mostly water weight, but I’ll take what I can get! I just need to get motivated and get my butt to the gym more often. I’ve got at least 17 more lbs to lose…if not 27…ugh! It always seems so difficult when you look at your goal number!
I’m doing WW on my own right now, but their formula is really easy to figure out (I’m an excel geek and programmed it in). I don’t like the leader near my house…he’s a bit abrasive…and while he may have lost a ton of weight and kept it off for year, he still managed to have a heart attack because he still makes poor food choices. I just can’t follow someone like that!

I’ve been doing WW with meetings for a full month and have lost 9 pounds (5%)! It feels great. I have about 30 more pounds to lose to get to the goal I have for myself.
