@KatNYC2011: Ooh, I love eggs. It’s probably my only saving grace :). Do you cut up your own potatoes for the fries or do you just use the best frozen kind?

@jo.lee: I usually cut up my own. Raw potatoes are cheaper than anything pre-packaged and pre-sliced. I usually cut them into “steak fry” size.  They are so delicious and SO much better for you since they are baked rather than fried. If you have a little olive oil on them in the cooking process and cook at a higher temp (i.e. 400) you end up with the crispier outside and soft inside without all the calories of deep frying.

Hi WW brides! I am so excited that there is a thread for this! I have been on and off (mostly off) of weight watchers for the last 2 years. I have lost and gained back 25 pounds. Today I am recommited to ww and planning on going to Subway for lunch. Wish me luck!

HI Ladies!!

    I have been considering joining WW. I currently weight 172, and would like to be back down to 130, which is where I was when I first met my Fiance. We have 2 years til our wedding, Sept 2011. So maybe WW is the way to go! I having just been watching what I eat and hitting the gym a few times a week. It hasn’t done much though, so I need to step it up! Any advice is appreciated 🙂

@MissDonnaAnne: I liked WW a lot when I did it, and it helped me gain a good understanding about what and how much I should be eating as well as when. I got a lot of good insight from the message boards and recipe exhange as well. I never went to meetings but I have heard a lot of people really like having that weekly weigh in accountability.

Eventhough I haven’t rejoined WW, I’m using a lot of the principles I learned while I was on it in adjusting my current diet plan.

@MissDonnaAnne: Hello fellow 9-2011 bride! I literally joined WW about an hour ago, and I feel like I’ve already gotten some great guidance. If you do join, they’re running a special for a free month when you buy three for the online version, but it ends tomorrow. It seems like they’re always doing specials, though, so don’t feel pressured!

Luckily when I do go to Subway the $5 ham sandwich is really satisfing for me. I get that with the baked chips for only 7 points. I only eat the 6″ of the sandwich.

@FutureMrsMeinhardt: One thing to be careful of with subway is the amount of salt in everything. Make sure to stay well hydrated. I love subway sandwiches but I usually end up retaining water after eating them.

@KatNYC2011:

Thanks for the advice. I know that the ham sandwich has tons of sodium but I have been eating junk for the last two weeks I know I’m going to gain anyhow. But usually I try to have lower amounts of sodium before weighing in. My weigh in day is Saturday mornings.

Right now the reason for the Subway is just to push myself into eating healthy again. Last night I had almost 2 boxes of mac and cheese for dinner. Totally delcious but not what I should be eating if I want to look sexy and skinny on my wedding day.

I was super happy to see this post!  Even just reading about what you guys are doing to get healthier is really inspiring.

I did WW about a year ago and lost almost 30 punds and then quit and have gained most of it back 🙁  But I am starting again and determined to look great at my wedding next July!

I also love Subway and find that their salads are really filling and really low in points!  That’s my weigh in day lunch.

I don’t know if any of you read the WW message boards but today someone put up a really great post about a WW shopping list and what things to look for in the grocery store.  I will for sure be using it next time I shop.

Hey, I’m not sure how well this would work out but would anyone be interested in doing an email system where we all support each other and check in with everyone regarding our weight loss and struggles, etc? I know it would help me alot.
