So, although I was resistant to the change to PointsPlus, after my meeting Saturday I feel a lot better about it. And can I just say, I love free fruit? I’m kind of afraid that I’m not going to lose any weight though, because look at this lovely snack I have to munch on throughout the day:
Why yes, that is a clementine and lovely little fruit salad consisting of raspberries, blueberries, red grapes, and canteloupe. But I guess for now I’ll have to trust my leader that “we don’t get fat eating grapes” and see what the scale says on Saturday!
Has anyone else come around to the new program after being skeptical at first?

Yes! I love free fruit points too, however, I am verrrrrrry skeptical lol
I got really fat eating mangos on a vacation one time haha, maybe that just mangos?
ETA: that fruit salad looks amazing.

Well I only joined about a week before the new program so the new plan wasn’t so big to me. I did a week on the old one and I do love the Free Fruit change for the new one. It’s a great filler!! It also really works out for me b/c my dr says I need to watch my carbs.

@HoneyBear: How many mangos did you have!? Haha. And yes, my fruit salad is delicious. I have stacks of tupperwares in my fridge all with fresh fruit in them, lol, so it was quick and easy to get it ready for work!

I LOVE free fruit too!
Since the new program rolled around I’ve been having 1 1/2 cups of watermelon every morning and a banana every afternoon.
Lost 1.1lbs on the first WI of the new plan (and that was including using ALL my weeklies and then some).
I can really get on this “free fruit” bandwagon!

I am worried as well! I can eat A LOT of fruit!
I lost this week. I’m just trying my best not to get crazy about it, and start eating fruit with reckless abandon.

I’m bordering reckless abandon with my fruit eating…but I earned 9 APs last night so hopefully that will make up for it! I don’t usually eat my APs (or finish my Weeklies either).

I started with the new plan and have been having two clementines and a banana every day (and some grapes), but I do track/measure.
It’s hard for me to eat all my points and I earn activity points at a somewhat decent rate. I just hope this will be the kickstart I need. Getting married in March and if I could lose 10-15lbs by then, it’d be nice (but am willing to continue with the program after the wedding if it’s working).

I love free fruit, too! Love this plan! 🙂

My WW leader explained it as that all the fruits worked out as a value of less than one point – and we don’t do half points anymore. So they’ve factored in a normal consumption of fruit (2-3 serves of fruit) into the amount of points you are given. If you eat a huge amount of fruit (like I do, always have) then it will be slightly more than the point or two they have taken into account and it might pay to not use up all your weekly points or boost up your activity points.
In saying that, I think that the new points plan has a large focus on actually training you to be nutritionally aware and fruit has so many health benefits. So let’s get fruity 😀

I am rejoining Weight Watchers tonight and I am very excited to learn all the details of points plus! I lost 50 lbs 2 years ago, and slowly gained it all back, and I can’t wait to get back to losing!
