I have gained about 10lbs in the last 2 months or so (eeeek!!!) with all the wedding fun and a bunch of family fuctions i have just been going way overboard with my eating. I have been slacking on my workouts because we are trying to get our house ready to sell, but i am doing the best I can. However, i have been eating everything in sight! I am 5″7 and about 150lbs, but i am muscular and have an athletic build. I am looking to lose about 15lbs. I am considering joining weight watchers online. I dont know much about ww except it uses a point system. I want to do the online version because i feel weird going into a location i think that the other people there are going to think i am retarded for doing the program since i am already in pretty good shape so i like the confidentiality with the online program.
Have you ladies tried the online program? can you tell me a little bit about the program and how it worked for you?

I signed up for WW to lose weight for my wedding. I didn’t consider myself overweight and I worked out about 5-6 days a week. I also didn’t own a scale and didn’t realize I had gained about 20 pounds or so since college.
I decided to do it online because I knew that the wedding would be a great motivator. If you decide to do in online though you have to make sure you can be accountable for your food and not cheat. It takes about a week to really get used to the point system, but it’s a great program.
Depending on your height, weight, how much you want to lose and other factors, you are given a certain amount of daily points. You also get 35 extra points a week and activity points for working out. It’s pretty simple. Eat only the amount alloted and you will lose weight.
I’ve lost 26 pounds so far and right now I’m just maintaining. I’ll probably kick it into high gear the couple weeks before my wedding and see if I can lose another couple of pounds.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for responding! so you have to input all your info regarding weight/height and how muhc you want to weight and it automatically calculates how many points i am allotted? how do i know how much each food i eat is worth? especially if it has multiple ingredients to make..?

I have been a ww online member forever- I just could never make it to the meetings with my schedule… I love it- but you do have to be honest with yourself. Especially for me with things like cocktails on the weekends and desserts… But it does work- I lost 30 lbs a few years ago and kept it off! It really opens your eyes about portion control and gets you to heat a lot of fresh veggies!
