(Closed) weight watchers or jenny craig. PRICE? WORKS?

jenny craig, you have to purchase their food. it’s already prepared, and you pay for the food.

weight watchers, you eat your own food. you cook it on your own, and follow their “points system”.

i can’t speak for the cost of each (i think WW is like, $40 a month for meetings and acess to all their online e-tools), but i personally have tried WW and had success, my mother and my aunt have as well.

I vote Weight Watchers since you learn how to eat to loose weight instead of just eating preportioned meals.

Weight watchers works, but you have to follow the plan (eating a certain number of daily “points”). You can cook from home, eat out,  and can do an online subscription if you don’t feel comfortable going in for meetings.

I also have to give credit to Weight Watchers. I’ve lost 40 lbs since Thanksgiving on it.  I pay $42 per month for meetings and full online access/app.  When you hit your goal and maintain it for 6 weeks, WW is free.


I’ve never done Jenny Craig but I’d personally rather have flexibility to eat my own meals (WW) plus I think it helps when you’re out with friends, etc. to be able to have real food but in smaller portions.

Definitely Weight Watchers. Jenny Craig puts you on their strict diet, so it’s very easy to gain weight back as soon as you stop eating their food. Weight watchers allows you to make the choices of what you want to eat based on points and encourages you to eat healthy choices by making those (such as fruits and veggies) 0 points. I needed to lose a few pounds last year, so I did the online WW. I lost 20 pounds.

Definitely WW! I’ve been on WW Online for about 8 months, and I’ve lost 70 pounds (and have another 28ish to go before I reach my ultimate goal weight). I can’t rave about it enough! You definitely have to dedicate yourself to following the plan, but if you do, it totally works! And i like it so much more than other diet plans because it teaches you portion control, how to choose healthy options and substitutions and how to LIVE and still lose weight. You can still eat pretty much whatever you want (in moderation!)

I pay $18 a month to do WW Online, which includes all the phone apps (which come in really handy!) Some people prefer meetings, but I personally don’t have a schedule that will allow for weekly meetings and it’s cheaper not to go to them. Plus, I have experienced success without meetings! You just have to hold yourself accountable.
