Hey girl Heeeeyyy!!

Hahah i was on the Weight Watchers Core program 5 years ago. I lost 30 lbs and kept it off. It wasn’t a diet, it was a lifestyle change. And i loved it.

SO with my wedding 6 months away i’m now back on the core program. Its too easy not to be on it. And i’m also starting Jillian Michaesl Ripped in 30 today too!!

March is going to kick ass.

can everyone share some of their fav breakfast, lunch, and snack foods? I am going to do a big grocery trip on sunday and want to make a meal plan for the week.

right now I am kind of making do with what is in the house.

I would love some ideas 🙂

@phillybride61513:  I too am looking at this as a lifestyle change. I just have a bunch of stuff coming up starting in 3.5 months that are definitly motivating me to change!

I’m thinking of WW as well…are you guys doing the online thing or the meetings or what?  What is the cost? Is it worth it? I feel like I know what I should be doing but I just don’t do it…what do you think??

@jessmex12:  For breakfast, I almost always have a ton of fruit (usually 2 kinds of berry, with a chopped banana, apple or pear) topped with plain yogurt (I use a fat-free one and weigh it out to 100g, only 1 pt!) and I top that with some granola. Sometimes I also add a spoonful of peanut butter – just depends what my day looks like point-wise.

I snack a lot a lot through out the day, I usually try to have a banana, apple or pear (whichever didn’t make it in to my breakfast bowl), an orange, low sodium crackers, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, hummus, cheese strings, etc. Basically whatever is in my house and at least fairly healthy haha.

Lunch is always leftovers or a wrap. I use those WW tortilla wraps, and most often will have a wrap with avocado, hummus, lettuce/spinach and cucumber. Sometimes I will add some deli turkey if I feel like it.

@Lily_of_the_valley:  I’m doing the program online only, and it’s really great, but it really depends on your personality. You have to be really, really accountable to yourself when you’re doing it online because there’s not the group meeting support there. I’ve definitely had a few days where I’ve wanted to cheat because I know I’ve been eating like a garborator, but I’m getting better at tracking it all.

So far for me, it’s been working despite a few up and down weeks, but I have a friend who tried online and just couldn’t make it work for her, so she wound up joining a meeting program at work.

I was wondering what happened to the WW thread! Glad to find you all again.  It seems like my weight loss is slowing down, I’m about 12 lbs away from my goal weight, I think it’s time to add excercise into my routine.

Have a great week everyone!

A question for all you bees that have already lost a significant amount of weight with WW:

have you incorperated excercise or has it been from eating your alloted points? I was just wondering?!

@jessmex12:  I definitely started to exercise while doing WW. I’ve been on the program for a year now and I lost 26 pounds ! 🙂

It might seem slow for some people but it’s steady and I’m not gaining any weight back so far !

Good luck !

@MsYankee:  yes that does make sense. i am trying to decide if i should focus more on toning or cardio-my time is limited. any suggestions? also, i made the homemade tortilla chips! so good!! I could not find the tortillas you used, but did find ones that were 3 points for two tortillas.

Also, wanted to share a yummy smoothie I have been having that is 4 points. I have been having it for breakfast.

Smoothie Recipe:

1 banana= 0 points

1 cup almond milk= 1 point

1 tbsp unsweetened natural coco powder= 0 points

1 tbsp peanut butter= 3 points

blend all ingredients in blender then add ice (if you want to make colder) and blend til smooth. Total 4 points and I find it filling and really good!

@MsYankee:  thanks for the input!

I also do a green smoothie with spinach and banana which is really good! I just like to change it up every once in a while
