hi bees! its not something i share w my real life folks, and im keeping my dress a total secret, except for the moms and moh, so i really wanted to spill here! so if anyone has read my other posts, i’ve been prioritizing health and been very successful on my weight loss journey so far! in all, i’m down about 40 lbs, but will be losing about 30lb more, ideally before the weddding (it’s in a year, very likely i can do this). i really wanted to hit a personal goal before trying on dresses (and i actually waited another 10 pounds even after reaching that goal!) because i was just terrified i wouldn’t be able to fit into sample size dresses at the boutiques, and would be limited to plus size dress stores… well my first trip was FANTASTIC! i love looking at the pictures my moh and i took!
first was anna campbell, CoCo and Adelaide, which were so romantic and I loved the backs, but honestly made me look overly busty and frumpy, but these dresses would be phenom on a boho/romantic bride that doesnt have to worry about frumpyness:
next was Hayley Paige because how can you not?? this Bahati made me feel like a bride! i thought it was super flattering and by far and wide my pick for the day:
this was hayley paige Decklynn:
and this last one the sales girl put me in because i hadn’t tried on any body hugging ones (because i was scared they wouldnt fit my hips!). turns out it was not flattering, and i cant remember who makes it, but im including it because why not!
im working so hard, i just had to share because its just so nice that im starting to get to the place i am proud of!! can’t wait to spend the next 2-3 months finding my dress!!!

I think all the dresses apart from the last one look fab on you (and not because it was figure hugging but because that really flimsy white fabric of the bottom is not really good on anyone – a thicker lace material going into a more ruffly mermaid or pronounced fit & flare cut would likely work better) I definitely don’t get the frumpy vibe in the boho styles! The ballgown has such a cool back, but if you plan on losing almost as much as you already did I would definitely hold off on your final selection as it could really affect what you will feel most beautiful in.
