I’ve been calorie counting on and off since the beginning of the new year. I’ll count calories for a month, then drop off when I get sick and pick up a couple weeks later. I was going for a small gradual change and lost about 5 lbs that way. I developed some good patterns but I was honestly expecting better results.
Last week, I was talking to a friend who is doing weight watchers and decided to join her. It’s much more intense than I was doing before. Eating sugary foods has drastic effects to your daily food allowance; I don’t mind since, eating sugary snacks daily is a habit I want to break. I’m hoping that it works and I can keep up with it for a 10-15 lb weight loss. When I signed up it was about $60 for 3 months, and if I lose at least 10 lbs I get a $50 prepaid card. I’m hoping the reward card gives me enough of a goal to keep working at it every day.
