So girls… this is more of a different conversation. Have you ever heard the saying:”It must’ve been your other twin in this world”. When I was young (about 20 years old), I worked at a hospital and a CNA told me that she was a photographer on the side. She said that there was this girl that looked just like me when she was doing some photography abroad as a hobby. I was like, “oh cool”… well the next day she brought in a random photo of this woman and I was speechless. This girl looked identical to me. I sat there staring at the photo in shock on how that “wasn’t me” and I only noticed a few small details which didn’t look like me. I’ll never forget it; I was convinced that I had studied abroad in another life.
Fast forward more than a decade. I had been aggressively, frantically, and insanely researching reception venues. Girls, I must’ve been looking for 8+ months. I was tired of typing venues in google, doing searches, researching prices and constantly having my dreams shattered because the price was going to be ultimately too much. One day, like a pile of bricks – a well known franchise popped into my head and they had just built a new one in my area. I looked at the website and fell in love with all of the details and it fits our budget nicely. I then proceeded to the gallery of photos and what pops up… picture of a bride & groom that is kissing under the sign outside the venue that….
(wait for it)…
looks exactly like us. I was freaking out in my office. I was nervous screaming, laughing and all around trying to absorb the shock. I took a picture of the picture with my cell phone (from waist up of the couple for clarity, it looked just like a guy with a suit and a girl with a white dressy tank top) and sent it to my Fiance without any words. He replied “That’s a really nice picture, when did we take that because I don’t remember us wearing that”. OMG. I told him it wasn’t us! It was by far a very awesome and crazy moment. Meant to be, perhaps? It must be.
So bees, any of this craziness ever happen to you?

This hasn’t happened to me but now I want to see these pictures!

Wow – that’s crazy! I can’t believe your Fiance thought it was you two as well! I haven’t had any moments where someone looked like me, but I swear one of my friends from high school (who has never been to France) is in one of my photos from my Paris trip.

yea I want to see pics! You had a sweet dopplganger experience.
That is crazy!
I have had people show me a show, movie or ad that claims to look like me but I have not been impressed or freaked like you have 🙂

@MademoiselleL: Since the couple is kissing and it’s a profile shot, I don’t have any to compare to show you. But people that know us would say it looks exactly like us. I really wish I could see a direct front shot of the couple. But that photo is SO good that I was thinking about playing a joke and posting it on FB. And again, I wouldn’t say anything else with the post… I bet people would think we eloped! But, I don’t want to give my family a heart attack.
But for the record, we plan on having the same pic done on our wedding night in front of the identical sign for the same venue, that will be awesome!

Yup. I was on vacation in Hawaii with my parents when I was 15 and I met a girl my age a few condos down, and we started hanging out. One day she looked at me, a lightbulb went on, and she yelled, “THAT’S who you remind me of!” and ran inside to dig around her suitcase. Apparently I looked just like one of her friends back at home in California. I was skeptical because I get told I look like a lot of people, but she came back outside with a small photo album, pulled out a picture of her friend, and all I could do was stare. I was basically looking at my twin. She was a little taller than me, but that was the only difference. We even had the same haircut.
So I have a twin somewhere in California.

@melodicsighs1: It’s so crazy!!! That’s so cool about your friend!
@Eva Peron: Seriously, never say never! Especially with the internet these days (there wasn’t an internet the first time it happened to me). It may still happen!
@linguo42: Isn’t that freaking awesome? I bet you remember that vividly. It’s a combination of “that’s awesome” and “omg I’m freaked out”. I’m so glad I’m not alone in this! It’s truly something that you’ll always remember.

This happened to me around 2007/2008. I was flipping through a friend’s band’s myspace album from a show. I literally stopped on one picture, gasped, and continued to stare at the girl in the picture. It was a side profile, but I actually thought it was me. I reminded myself that would be crazy considering I NEVER attended a show (he lived way up north Jersey) and just absolutely impossible. I forwarded the picture to a few friends and showed my mother. They were all shocked as well. It ended up being my friend’s girlfriend at the time. He ended up cheating on her with me (I didn’t know they were still together at the time). It always felt like (to me) that he was with the same person, but different personalities.

Well apparently, there is this girl that lives in a neighboring town named Brittney that looks JUST like me. I have never seen her, or seen a picture but when I’m a work I hear “Brittney? I didn’t know you were a teacher!” or when I’m at the mall “brittney! I just talked to you on the phone!” I seriously get it ALL the time! My family members have mistaken me for her, they like to tell me all the time, but I have yet to see this girl! Weird.

I actually do have a twin!
However, I have a favorite ice cream shop, and the manager swears I have a twin at another restaurant in town (not my actual twin). We apparently look so much alike, this manager chatted her up about my frequents visits as an ice cream customer. But it wasn’t me! I guess I need to go check out this other person – maybe I have a triplet somewhere 🙂

When I was in high school people would tell me there was a girl that went to the technical HS in my same town that looked exactly like me, but I never did get to see her. One time I stumbled across a girl that looks exactly like me on facebook and it freaked me out so bad that I quickly X’ed out the page and I was only able to find her once after that to show my SO. He couldn’t get over how much she and I looked alike.
Definetly nothing as crazy as you though! WOW!

Wow! Great stories!
My friend’s daughter once told me I looked just like someone she went to school with. I didn’t think anything of it, nobody looks much like me 🙂 She ran and pulled out her yearbook and I was like, “wow! we do look so much alike!”. But, it still wasn’t like we were doppelgangers, haha!
