I’d engrave the date on the rings of when you secretly eloped. Just like the idea that the little secret is engraved in your ring and everyone looking at it will never know. 🙂
I’d celebrate the marriage anniversary in May, the day of the big party, and also have a secret celebration in Novemeber just the two of you. Love the idea of people not knowing that you are taking a weekend getaway in that month to just… you know, get away. haha

You only get one wedding, and therefore wedding date. Your wedding is when you get married. Any other party you decide to throw is not a wedding. At best, it’s a vow renewal.

You were married in November. That ship has sailed. You are having a party in May.

@nikix: I would use your real secret day, no one will ever see it or know but you and it will be such a romantice secret to keep with you 🙂

you could also put on date on his and one on yours…? But I still like the idea of using November at your date

The day you got married is what you go by. My sis got married in May when she was pregnant but had her big wedding in November. She goes by the May date. I would tell your family for sure.

Thanks for everything ladies.
I have decided that it will be November.
Thanks again (:

since may is actually a vow renewal, i’d use the november date.

It depends on when you really “feel” your marriage started.

@nikix: Celebrate two anniversaries a year! 😀 YAY!

@nikix: That’s my birthday!!! =) I say celebrate both, they’re both special days.

Because we wanted May 22 to be more special for them cause they couldn’t be there when we actually got married

I would use November 28th. Marriage is marriage. Wedding is a party.
