Do you and your SO have any weird traditions together?
Fiance and I have Chickfila Wednesday. We usually watch Glee and New Girl, but if those weren’t on the night before, we’ll find something else to watch. People always laugh at us about it, but it’s fun for us!

@BoiledPNut: That’s cute that yall have Chickfila Wednesday! I might have to steal it. Haha.
I wish me and my Fiance had some traditions or routines, but we don’t really :/ Maybe we should start some!

You definitely should! It’s fun to have your own little thing, you know? And steal away! Everyone should have CFA Wednesday. 🙂

That is really cute! We kinda sorta have a traditionn. But its an everyday thing and I don’t know if you can even call it a tradition lol. He plays his video games, and I read while I lay across him lol. It’s just something that happened one day and it stuck.

@Soon2BeMrsPea: That’s fantastic. You both get to do something you enjoy while spending quality time together. 🙂

We usually do Pizza Friday and watch what’s on our DVR from the week.

Yes!! I love it. And the noise from the game doesn’t bother me at all. I used to study with the music on lol. I loveee it. I think every couple should have something like this.

Cheap Movie Tuesdays. Ticket prices are $4-$5 cheaper on Tuesdays than they are the rest of the week, so we’ve made it a regular thing. I think there have only been two or three weeks where there was nothing out that we wanted to see.

Before we moved here, there was a nice, big Loew’s movie theatre that had $5 tickets M-Th, so every Tuesday night we’d go see a movie and grab a bite at the UNO Pizzeria near the theatre (because they had a great beer selection 🙂
We have a standing 9PM Thursday night date at Wegman’s (I know it’s a weird place to go for a date, especially since we usually have a list, but it gets us out of the house and focusing on each other, and has the added bonus of getting things we need, and we always have fun while we’re there). We also watch an episode of Star Trek TNG before bed pretty much every night.

For special events–anniversaries, birthdays, and the like, Darling Husband will cook a very fancy meal. When he was in grad school, he decided to learn to cook (rather than work on papers)–and boy did he! On Valentine’s Day, he spent nearly 6 hours putting together our dinner while I was at work! My part in this tradition is to eat appreciatively.
Darling Husband is Jew-ish and I’m…from a Christian background, so for us the holidays are about family and being together. For as long as we’ve been together, we make latkes and eat Chinese food on Christmas, then, if we’re home go to the midnight service at the local UU church (unless I get roped into ringing handbells with my old choir). It is kind of a silly tradition, but I really like the blending of rediculous cultural elements. *If* we have kids, it’s something I’d definitely want to pass on…that and his family’s traditions of mimosas first thing Christmas morning!

Eh, we don’t really have any set traditions. Except Friday night Future Father-In-Law, Future Mother-In-Law, Fiance and I go out to eat together. A lot of the time we’ll rent Redbox DVDs on the way home and come back to the house and watch movies (just Fiance and I).

No traditions as of yet. I would love to start some though. We’re pretty much laid back and random though.

@BoiledPNut: Waahh I miss Chick Fil A! There is only one in NY state, and we sometimes make the trip there, but not often enough.
I don’t think we have any traditions though. TBD, I guess.

I don’t know that we have something that we do EVERY week, but we usually do tim hortons on sunday mornings. We also generally watch movies Friday nights.

We have Pizza Monday’s every week. Also, about once a year we re-watch every episode of the TV show Lost. It was our weekly event when we were dating. 🙂 Plus, it’s an awesome show!
