Hi bees. We’re not TTC just yet, but I went off of birth control a few months ago in preparation. At first we were using condoms, but I decided it wouldn’t be terrible to get pregnant a few months early and Darling Husband hates condoms so we stopped using them, and have just been pulling out.
This may seem like a strange question, but is there any danger to getting pregnant from pre-cum? I know it’s not as likely, but are the sperm not as strong and might result in complications for the baby? It might be an irrational fear but I’m worried if I happen to get pregnant this way I might not be getting the strongest swimmers…
Thank you for entertaining my crazy question. I couldn’t seem to find any answers doing some research (which probably means my fears are totally irrational…)

kb7: I do think it’s possible but I do not think the sperm is any “weaker” – sperm is sperm 🙂 Good luck!

While less likely, it is possible and it is the exact same sperm, just less of it.

wrkbrk: chasesgirl: Thanks! I would just hate if I were to get pregnant and there were some sort of complications, worrying it was something that could have been prevented.

kb7: Some men have no sperm in their pre-cum and some men do have sperm in their pre-cum but without getting your husband tested you won’t know if he’s releasing sperm or not. as far as I know there should be no difference in sperm quality specifically due to them being released in pre-cum rather than during ejaculation.
