Well, mine wanted something ridiculous, which I would’ve been on board with, but we couldn’t make it work.

He wanted to hide behind the table at the gazebo, and when the music started for him to walk down, and everyone turned, he wanted to jump out from behind the gazebo, with a fog machine and the whole 9 yards. Yup.

@jen 42713:  A. DATE TWIN!  One month left!!  eek 🙂  B. He is insisting we ride in the limo from the church to our reception, alone, and the bridal party/parents ride in the trolley.  Totally fine with it, but just thought it was something random to be so particular about.

@StephieBee:  That is HYSTERICAL.  I’m absolutely in love with that.  If that’s his personality, then you have got yourself a true character, in an awesome way 🙂  I want to be his friend!

Nothing yet, except a cream-colored suit (which I ended up putting the kibosh on, since my dress is dark ivory and have no desire for it to look yellowed or dirty…)

He has said he has a “surprise” for me. He has already been talking with a friend of his about it. I am intrigued and a bit frightened, but he has promised it wasn’t going to be anything embarrassing or anything that would run up against plans we have already made for the wedding.

My Fiance really wanted to wear a full tuxedo.  We’re not very traditional so I thought he’d want to do the suit w/ sneakers thing – but he wanted the full tux including bow tie! He even took his whole side of the bridal party out tux shopping and then they went to dinner, just like I had done with my bridesmaids!

He is set on having a band at the reception becuase one time he went to a wedding that was fun and they had a band.  He admits that every other wedding band he has seen has been terrible, and he prefers original versions to covers of songs.  And the cost of a decent band in this area is roughly half of our entire budget.  But he still wants a band.

Welp, my Fiance wanted to DRIVE up to the ceremony space in an mint condition 64′ chevy and make his own grand entrance. I really didn’t have any issues with this, because my FI’s Dad has this car but the cermony space won’t allow cars in front of the ceremony space…so that idea was canned.

Mine wanted to make the grand entrance to the reception accompanied by pyrotechnics…  I talked him down to flashpots (theater use), but the venue vetoed.

I’m sort of bummed, I got on board with it toward the end Wink

We’re having a bunch of lawn games at our cocktail hour (since we always play those with our friends at any outdoor event) – he realllllly wants to add a tricycle jousting tournament to the mix. Lol! I told him that as long as he organizes it, I’m down.

My fi has had a few requests, I’ve worked with him on most of them.

– He wanted to wear a top hat & pipe. [Lol, this is one of the things i DIDNT let him get!]. We will be getting these props for the photobooth though!

– He wanted a chocolate fountain. [He’s getting it].

– He wanted black to be one of our wedding colors. [We each chose a color & then added a filler : Black, Ivory with accents of pinks].

– He wanted vanilla cake. [We’ll be getting at least 4 flavors of cake].

– He wants some speific items for the candy/desset buffet. [Brownies, cheesecakes, and some certain types of candies].

Everything else he’s let me have my way, including PINK ties!
