@StephieBee:  I just showed this to my fiancé and he got really serious and said that he has to do that. His biggest request was bagpipes. Which I think is great. He’s Scottish doing all the groomsmen are wearing kilts. But he has said that the fog machine would really add to the whole effect. Seeing your post just reignited that wish!

He made jokes about parachuting down playing a guitar solo during the ceremony.

@jenilynevette:  OMGeeeee Honey Butter is THE bomb!!! Seriously!!! I love it on the Hawaiin Sweet rolls…as a snack, when I’m not real hungry, but haven’t eaten all day. So I pack on some warm rolls and honey butter. Yez’ir πŸ™‚ LOL!!!

FH has been very adamant about a white or ivory suit, I’ve told him he has til the end of May to pick one. I need to order my dress, and I don’t want to order ivory(which is probably what I’m getting! LOL), and him get white(I think it’ll look too weird!).

But, he’s dark haired and has an “off” skin tone like I do, so we’re probably going ivory!

The guys will be doing a sort of “fishing trip” the morning of the wedding. That translates to the guys having some beers and fishing off the back patio of our venue, since we’re getting married @ Raven Lodge @ Huntsville State Park, and the back patio is literally 2 feet from the water, and even has a little “walk down” with an open spot you COULD swim in(but I wouldn’t. I hate swimming if I can’t somehow manage the tiniest peek at the bottom, or if it’s mushy…ugh! HAHA!)

He also chose our first dance song, which is VERY different from the norm of our circle. It’s “I’ll Follow You” by Shinedown…he’s even decided on dancing lessons, so we can learn properly πŸ™‚ LOL

@RedWine13:  Forever & Ever, Amen-Randy Travis…it’s upbeat, and a good song regardless πŸ™‚ also, even though it’s a little more upbeat, has a cool undertone and meaning to it-Garth Brookes “Two of a Kind(Working on a Full House)”…you could get your DJ to loop it to just the chorus, but I’d def do this for FH, b/c he loves GB(even tho I don’t, LOL), and this song would work, b/c I’ll be coming off BC very soon off the wedding!

@JackiBean:  I have the same set! My Fiance however INSISTED on being LEGO Batman on the cake topper. Not just LEGO, not just Batman, it had to be LEGO Batman. So I bought all the pieces and mixed and matched them together. So he’s LEGO Batman with a drink in his hand and I’m LEGO Catwoman with a veil. It’s so funny the things guys choose to care about!

@jenilynevette:  No, it’s not…BUT, if you leave it on the counter for oooohhhh…bout 20 minutes, just to soften up? Add a pinch or 2 of cinammon, arghhhhh crack face πŸ™‚ LMFAO!!!

I use the country crock stuff…it’s fairly decent, but sometimes I use it for other stuff, and the cinammon makes it a lil better!

Fiance picked out the colors, loved the idea of Android robot cake toppers, and will probably come up with some other outlandish request like wearing the T-shirt tux (no!). I love him to bits but his ideas can get downright ridiculous!

@cirk:  That’s what everyone says when we tell them about the camel πŸ™‚

It was expensive…a few thousand to be honest. More than I ever would have paid if my hubby didn’t want it so bad.

The guests couldn’t ride because of insurance, but they had a blast just doing the photo thing.  We did ride, into our reception πŸ™‚

My Fiance had a few things;

Short ceremony (doesn’t like to be centre of attention)

No garter toss

For me not to wear gloves under any circumstances

He also really, really wanted the slow version of Higher Love for our fist dance but I managed to change his mind on that one after 3 months of trying

He wanted to make his groomsmen wear vest colors coordinating with Power Rangers, and to dance with them at the reception to the Power Rangers theme song. I said “if you can get them to agree to it, more power to you, go for it.” πŸ˜€ (They’re down thus far, I’m looking forward to this, it’s gonna be hilarious and awesome!)

He wanted baby blue as a wedding colour (he got it)

He wanted an Ice Sculpture (he got it)

Friends X, Y and Z to be invited whom I haven’t heard of in 5 years (he got it)

An Engagement Ring (He got it)

…I think I’ve said yes to pretty much everything. He did mention a white suit before that I didn’t like the idea of, but he never mentioned it since that day so I don’t know if he really wanted it or just thought it’d be cool?

H2B is keen to have:

  • A bouncy castle
  • A ‘going away’ time of 10pm (hmm wonder why?) but I pushed it back a little.
  • A garter toss ‘kick goal’ the whole garter on a rubgy ball (or football in USA) thing as seen on Pinterest and have me kick it! haha
  • An owl fly down the aisle with our rings!

Debating the bouncy castle and the garter toss ideas. No owl unfortunalty as the church won’t allow it.
