So why not add more things to the list of stuff that needs to be done for the wedding while we are at it huh?!! … Went to our hall the other day (which is also the hotel that our guests from out of town are staying) and the lady that i am working with asked if we wer leaving “welcome bags” behind the front desk for when the guest arrive.. WIthout breaking the band, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should put in these “Welcome bags”? the only thing i came up with was 2 water bottles and some snacks… is a hangover helper pack cheezie if i can find them?

be careful, a lot of hotels charge $5+ per bag to distribute these.

@Mrs. Meowerson: Very true – I found this out as well and decided to scrap the welcome bags even though I love being the recipient of them. We would have over 50 bags that we’d need to put together and I just couldn’t justify it. I felt such a relief after I scraped the idea.
Some ideas for things to put in them are advil, water bottles, snacks, maps of the area, anything local to your wedding that might be interesting/unique.

we did most of what lmoss78 suggested, as well as jars of homemade raspberry jam and apple butter with cute labels. we also included postcards from the city where the wedding is.

Buy things in bulk like water bottles and good midnight snack foods at Costco. Then get all kinds of information or brochures from touristy things in the city. Let them know your favourite places to go and things to see!
