Monk6552:  Since you’re doing a Destination Wedding wedding, I’m guessing you will know if there will be more than one person per room? We are having our wedding in Cancun, MX and rooms range from 1-4 people (even young children). So depending on who is in the room, that’s how we will make our welcome bags/baskets.

Monk6552:  LOL–well I’d still consider it a Destination Wedding 🙂 . I would say since its in a local area…you will be ok with one item per bag/basket. For me, its all about the budget…so if putting more in the bags will have an impact, than go with 1 item per room. I’m sure whatever you do people will appreciate it since its something you don’t have to necessarily give them.

It depends on the item. I think it would be more hospitable to provide two snacks, but there is no need to duplicate things like maps or list of suggested restaurants /bars.

    Anything edible: give two

    Anything else: give one

Monk6552:  If you are providing a tiny little bag of chips, then I think you should provide two. These are single serving bags we are talking about here.

I went to a large wedding where about 50% of the people were out-of-towners (including myself) and the welcome bags were all the same and they were per room. I remember that there were two water bottles but then there was 1 of everything else, like 1 bag of cheeze its, 1 package of cookies, a handful candy, etc. I don’t think it matters either way for snacks but the 2 water bottles were good.
