A S’mores kit?

ETA: NM, already mentioned. How much are you looking to spend per bag? Some sort of binoculars to go nature watching would be really neat too.

A few of my ideas have been mentioned above, darn! But a few other ideas might be:

bandaids

wet wipes

mini bags of snacks (chips, pretzels, etc)

waterbottles (resusable or just bottled water and you could make your own labels)

citronella mini candle & book of matches if the cabins have porches

mini lanterns (probably could find at a dollar store closer to summer months that runs on a battery)

mini cans of pop or juice

EDIT: dunno if the cabins have a kitchenette or not, but maybe like some instant coffee packets and tea?

OMG I’m so jealous! I think my Out of Town bags are already great, just not as great as yours! Brilliant ideas. I don;t have any contribution really, but I can;t wait to hear what other brides are doing!

I love this idea.  Did anyone say little smores kits or smores?  This christmas someone made smores: two graham crackers with marshmallow fluff inside and one side dipped in chocolate.  Surprisingly the marshmallow fluff dried out but it didnt get dried out.. if that makes any sense.  Also, although it’s kinda kitschy for this, I usually look on orientaltrading.com for this kind of stuff for at least some ideas.  They have things like frisbees, and stuff that you can create yourself, which could be cute even for adults for a summer camp theme!

This post is pretty old- but I am looking for advice for a similar project. However my number of guests staying at camp may be larger, and I’m having a difficult time thinking of how to make these baskets without spending way too much money- I’m thinking it could be like 30-40 baskets, so even if I can find mini bug spray for $2, that’s already $80 for just bug spray. I’d like to get a few things in there:sunscreen, granola, other snacks, soap, flashlight, etc.

If you don’t mind…you mentioned not breaking the bank, were you able to accomplish that goal? What does that mean to you? Any advice?
