- Wedding: July 2012
Many of our guests will be staying at an inn that is literally a one-minute walk from the rehearsal dinner. Following the rehearsal dinner, we would like to welcome everyone to stop by to say hello and have a drink. We will be able to provide beer and some simple snack foods, but we can’t afford to host the bar or provide any substantial food.
In our invitation, we are including an “events” insert that will include everything going on during the wedding weekend. I would also like to include this get-together, but I’m concerned about doing this when we really aren’t providing much in the way of drinks and food.
Is it misleading to refer to this as a “Welcome Reception?” What else could I call it to imply that it’s low-key? I can only fit one phrase on the invitation, but there will be a more detailed description on our website.
