Definitely dress#1. It’s modern yet timeless. I think the beading on dress #2 might look dated in a few years. It’s pretty, though.

I think number one looks best on you and I prefer the style, but I do love the detailing on dress two.

Overall I love the classic elegance of the first one the most, and it works so well for your body type. My only thing would be how much the girls are showing. For me, I would feel self conscious about it, but that may come down to a personal preference thing. I would get it altered to show slightly less “decoletage”.

Although I love the detailing of the bodice in Dress #2, I don’t care for the detailing at the bottom of the dress.  It’s probably just me, but everytime I see that peaked detailing, it reminds me of those bright pink, yellow, or blue ball gown type dresses that teenagers wear to their prom/quinceanera/sweet sixteen parties.

    I ditto

@bells: I voted for Dress #1 with a beaded sash.

Dress #1 looks amazing on you!  It really flatters your curves so well.  I would say that your family may have fallen in love with the second dress for the dress itself, and not necessarily the way it looks on you.  It is a gorgeous dress, but my god, the first one makes you look AMAZING!   Go with the first one!

And as a side note, I had people really push me to get a dress too.  I felt like I wanted to cry in it, but not out of joy, out of something like panic.  Everyone was wanting me to get this dress that I hated being in.  It didn’t feel like the kind of dress I wanted to marry Fiance in, and although I knew it looked really good on me, I couldn’t envision myself wearing something like that and I have never regreted my decision to not get it.

@ktisthatbees: I agree. And I also like that you used the fancy word for “boobs.” Laughing

I say go for dress one I love that one the best.  I’m simple but the sash to me give it that something extra.  Dress two just has too much stitch work for my taste.

I like them both!  I think you can’t go wrong which is a great place to be in…I picked dress #2 because I think the cleavage is a little over the top in #1, but that is totally my inner prude showing ๐Ÿ™‚
