(Closed) well crap… I think I purchased my wedding gown too soon

uh oh.. I hope you get some good answers!! I just ordered my gown, but I have probably 10-15 pounds I would like to lose before really starting fittings. Hopefully that won’t affect the look of the dress too much. Good luck

If you want to drop 2 dress sizes there really shouldnt be an issue with alterations. But if you are concerned, maybe you can sell on preowneddresses.com? And being that you bought it discounted MAYBE you can even make a profit!

beeFANTASTIC:  Most dresses can be altered down at least two sizes, so I don’t think you have any problems.

With a full skirt you can sometimes get away with altering the bodice only.

It is *always* easier to take a gown in- then to let a gown out. Remember that.
