@Irish-bride:   CONGRATULATIONS !!

Happy to hear all is well… and yes, despite medicine, sometimes us gals “just know” what is going on with our bodies.  Period (lol, pun intended)

@Irish-bride:  That’s when the fun begins! All the thinking, planning, dreaming of names and colors and what they will look like. Enjoy- it goes by so fast! πŸ™‚

@ChuckNorris:  We have free healthcare here. We all pay for it. People don’t abuse the system by going to see a doctor to find out if they’re pregnant. That is a fair use. The great thing about living in a country with free healthcare is you never need to look stuff up online and guess the answer – you can always see a doctor and find out, rich or poor. And people don’t actually go enough – plenty of people are too afraid to go and don’t get diagnosed with things like cancer early enough for them to make a full recovery. I believe that no-one should ever feel bad for going to see a doctor. It is a public service that is there for us, for us to use, and the cost goes to us. I’m really sad to think that anyone in this country would feel they couldn’t see a doctor whenever they like because they might have used up their fair share. That’s not how things work here. It’s a different world. It must be really hard to see things our way from within a different system though. We live and we learn, so maybe everyone in this thread has learnt a bit about different cultures and norms around medical facilities today πŸ™‚

OP, that is wonderful news, congratulations! And eeeeep Peterborough! I know that place very well!
