If you want light and simple go for the Bridal Illusion, next woudl be Chiffon, then Oraganza, then Silk. If you choose organza and they don’t finish the edges properly, it will fray. The others shouldn’t.

You can ask for sample fabric swatches. Occanesy will send them to you for a low price. Or stop by your local fabric store. The only fabric some will not have is the silk tulle.

When choosing a simple veil, I always suggest the silk tulle first but it is not inexpensive but it is very lux.

Sounds like you want a raw edge. You also might check out glamgal.com. She has all the different veils their and some others don’t. I really like occanesy (from the next town over) but at the time she could not get me what I wanted so I went through glamgal. Stupid volcano stopped fabric shipments from Europe before we had to move our wedding.
