Happy Sunday Bees!
Like a lot of other Brides to be, I didn’t budget money for a cinematographer because I thought I hated wedding videos. Long story short I have falled in love with Super 8mm film and have gotten an AMAZING offer from Well Spun Weddings. I am not sure if it’ll pan out but I just wanted to get input from other bees…
What do you think?? I love the vintage quality of these films.
Also I am suppose to have a phone conversation on Tuesday and I was wondering what questions should I be asking? Are there are any things you wished you asked or wished you had known before you hired a cinematographer?

Ohhh I was really considering Well Spun, but Fiance decided he didnt like the 8mm look as much. Questions we asked our videographer were:
-how many cameras will they be using?
-how long they’ll be there for?
-how long it would take for them to finish our video?
That’s all I could think of for now. I think if you have it in your budget, then go for it! I’ve always heard brides regret not having a videographer because the day goes by so quickly and you dont remember everything.

How many re-edits can you get if you don’t like their original cut together 🙂

@ Miss Zig Zag… yea I don’t think my Fiance loves Super 8 as much as I do but thats too bad 😉 J/K they are actually offereing to basically film for free if we pay for their weekend in Costa Rica…. It seems like a good deal. It ends up being about the same price as their regular fees… But we couldn’t find any videographers in CR that we liked (esp none that did Super 8) and we couldn’t really afford to fees + travel.I think this may be the best deal we’ll get.. so maybe half the guests will have to stand… that seems worth it, right? hehehe.
@ Daydreamwanderer… That’s a great question. I’ll add it to my list 😀

I dont know what “super 8” means but this is what i asked my potential videographers:
1. do i get the whole raw unedited footage on a DVD
2. does it include a 5min summary of the wedding hilight video
3. how much total including tax/travel fees
4. how do you plan to make the video in an unshaky way….

YEa… I know! We entered a contest a while back for a photography/videography contest and didn’t win 🙁 but they loved our entry and wanted to help us out! It was really super sweet… because our budget is SOOO tight!
