I’m so glad to hear other women who hate VS! Their shit shrinks after one washing and everything is so overpriced. Stopped going in there circa 2003ish I do believe.
Also, these threads always remind me to be thankful for my smallish 34B cups. They live in a sports bra every day, and I always loathe when I have to break out a (gasp) underwire bra if I’m dressing up nice.

@babypearls: I feel you! My SO always tells me he likes my ‘small boobs’ (a B is small? 🙁 dangit) but then when I am on my period and they are about half a cup bigger he goes crazy. Really?? Thanks a bunch!

@MontfordsGirl: Why is it now a days that people only refer to girls with huge boobs and ‘curves’ as ‘real women’? Are you saying that everyone on here with boobs smaller than a D and wears anything in a size small isn’t a real woman? What are we then? Fake? Just because we weren’t blessed with huge tatas?
Please stop referring to only certain ladies as ‘real women’, we are all women no matter what size we are.

@Little_Hedgy: You poor thing. I suffer from Ginormous Rack Syndrome too, also known as “OMG What Size Bra Is That?!” *sigh*
I avoid VS like the plague for those very reasons, and yes, one salesgirl tried to measure me once. It didn’t end well after she suggested I might find better fitting bras at Lane Bryant.

Seems VS hating is pretty common.
Their measurement system is so wildly inaccurate that it’s laughable really. Furthermore, as this lady points out, VS bras don’t even fit their models!!! http://www.thinandcurvy.com/2010/12/victorias-secret-bras-dont-even-fit.html
I was shocked the first time I went to VS in the states, as all the bras stopped at a D cup. Back then most big stores carried up to an F cup in my country, and nowadays most of them go up to a H cup.
As a 32J I feel bad for American women who are squished and squashed into such ill fitting bras. I know they’d try to stuff me into like a 44DD or something. Ouch!!

i went in long for cotton panties and the sales girl wouldn’t leave me alone. I told her i was a 30H and nothing would fit me. She said she was the best at finding something for everyone. I said no thank you. She brought over this sexy cami in a large and said ” This is perfect!”. I was pissed at this point so I said I would try it on, a wham!!Boobs out all over. I am pretty sure I traumatized her.

@Little_Hedgy: Seriously, You could start a new thread titled “akward situations caused by large boobs”.
I must admit that I have never had the ‘please’ of being accostered by a VS sales person… mainly because I’m pretty sure that the closest store is 3hrs+ drive away. Have had ridiculously awkward situation during a yoga class though. The instructor wanted us to do this weird arm-crossing-in-front-of-chest move. Now, I have 18E breasts. Even with the rib cracking sports bra I was wearing, there is NO WAY that my elbows are ever going to touch each other. Ever. physics just won’t allow it. Apparently the teacher thought that it was her instructions that were lacking so, after her repeated attempts to show me how to do the move, I had to take pity on her and explain that it wasn’t her fault, it was mother nature’s. “The Boobs are just too big!” might have popped out of my mouth in frustration…

@Little_Hedgy: Squats? Stairs? I need to do some of those, I want a bigger more bubbly butt lol

I’m just going to take my size A “boobs” out of this thread and find somewhere I belong 🙁

Why did you let her talk you into a fitting? I suggest learning how to tell pushy salespeople to screw off. It’s a skill that has served me well. It’s ok to be rude to people when they are trying to pressure you into something.

@Little_Hedgy: Ahhh! You let the dead sea people get you?! I bet you let the African clay dude and clumpy make-up testers near you too 😛

@Little_Hedgy: I feel you. I HATE BRA SHOPPING anywhere, but I never go into the VS, for that very reason. Their stuff doesn’t fit me!! I cannot stand a bunch of little girls all happy and bouncy……wanting to talk boobs, how annoying!!
As for the girl in the shop, I am sure she wasn’t implying anything, she was just doing her job trying to sell you something. Unfortunately, her age probably keeps her from understanding how uncomfortable this kind of experience can be to those who well have been challenged in the boob department, or those like us who are blessed and then some…..or for those who are just shy. Bra shopping, lingerie shopping is something I like to do quietly, not feel like I am on a stage under a spotlight…..feeling like the chorus is going to break into song at any minute!! Just annoying!!
Your post did give me a smile this morning……glad you friend found something that she likes!!

@FuzzyBunnyB: seriously that thread may happen today lol. I had to do the same thing in Bikram! I HAD to move my arms up and over the boobs but alas… no elbow touching.
we have a treadmill at my gym that goes to a 50 incline. I just climb up that for as long as possible… and dead lifts.
yep them too and I undoubtedly will leave with like a quarter of my hair straightened. This is why I can’t go to the mall alone

Check out http://www.thelittlebracompany.com for lots of cute bras in your size. We all deserve great lingerie, whether we feel like our boobs are too big or too small. 🙂

@Little_Hedgy: Ah, Okay – I’m more of an outdoor runner, but deadlifts probably do it! Thanks!
