I never go into VS, the bras just don’t fit. I am a 34C, nothing totally out there in size, but the underwire always cuts into the side of my boob, for no reason. I don’t have this problem with any other bra I have ever tried on, only VS bras. I even went in there once to try and get a good push up bra, my girls are spaced to a point where no bra does it, and I wondered what VS would come up with. I tried on a wide range of bras and finally stumped the sales girl and two others that worked there. VS is just not for my girls.

I am saying that the average american woman is a size 14. Companies such as VS cater to those who are MUCH smaller…I believe they have a very skewed view of what an average woman looks like. I personally wear a street size 8/10…but in there, I would have to wear an XL. I am a 36C in a bra but theirs are cut so small, they don’t fit. I simply meant that the perception of sizing is very off. My mother is a master seamstress and has been for over 50 years…she is a size 6, but at VS often has issues with their clothing because she is also short! They cater to a specific “type”… You are right, we are ALL real women. Too bad companies like VS don’t see it that way. Women are judged everyday by an industry who thinks we all need to be a size 0 and 6 feet tall! LOL!! What a world it would be if we all realized that people are beautiful in all shapes and sizes!

Their panties are cute but that is about all that fits properly in their and I’m not super enthused about paying $10+ per pair so I rarely torture myself by going in there anymore.

@Little_Hedgy: Yep. I seriously HATE this!!! America is all about HUGE boobs in your face all freaking day, but when we actually do have big breasts can we find a bra that will fit!? No! All my girlfriends get to prance around in cute bras and lingerie for their SOs and I’m stuck buying Black, Nude, and White at $80 a pop. It’s so freaking annoying. I wish I could get a cute bra for $20, even $50… shit I’d pay $100 to get something in my size that’s cute! So seriouslly annoying I hate it!!! I finally found a demi bra at Lane Bryant’s store that *kind of fits* it’s a little big around but at least I don’t have to order from nordstrom online and wait for it in the mail I guess? Ugh. So annoying. If anyone has any good websites for 36GG/36H please share!!

I was fitted as a 38b. Fit well from the cups….but the band was cutting off my circulation. I mentioned this to the fitter and she said, ” Oh..that’s the way it’s supposed to fit!”. Seriously…it was hurting my ribcage. I needed a 40b bra. Oh and she kept getting me to get one of those fake padded bras…that i could use as knee pads or a pillow. The one piece lingerie dresses are not meant for pear shaped women. I have larger hips and a smaller bust. The panties don’t come in xlg…not all woman are super skinny. Im not even qualified as plus sized…just a tall…slightly thick woman. I have to lose weight to shop at VS.

I personally think VS bras are boring/ugly.

@Little_Hedgy: You went to Victoria’s Secret.
That was your first mistake. If you want a real fitting you need to go to a Corsetiere. About 90% of my friends that have been “fitted” at VS had incorrect sizing.
I work at a breast center with a boutique – everyone says they’re a 34B. Even I did until I found out I was really a 34C or 32D.

Have to been to Change? I see you’re in the GTA and I’m a 28FF/G, so similar to you. I have to get Secrets from your Sister to special order my bras but I’ve just discovered the Dutch brand Change. They will carry your size in a big variety of bras and swimsuits!
I usually firmly tell them I’m a 28 band size and that they don’t carry my size, and they usually say, “NO YOU’RE NOT! Come with me!” And I get my bitchface on. They’re so pushy!

Same here except I’m a 34A. I can’t wear a kids bra or an adult bra.
I went to VS to find something to wear for my wedding night. Anything that fit in the corset had room for snacks and accessories in the cups. I tried on something that sort of tfit in the cups. I was so stuck. Like had to have my friend come in and peel me out. Last time I will ever go there. 🙁

@Little_Hedgy: I’m a 38C. I do not consider myself fat. But apparently it is, thanks for that.
That’s like some that’s 120 lbs calling themselves a whale. And you just sit there, thinking, okay so if shes a whale, what am I? Think about things before you say them.
On another note, the sales people there can be annoyingly pushy, however VS is one of the few places that will exchange a used bra because of a defect (ex- wire popping out, metal hooks break, broken strap, etc). IMO stuff like that is bound to happen to any bra I buy… I usually cycle through 3 different ones. Just keep the receipt and you can bring it back and get something different if anything goes wrong with it.

I think their bras run small too. I have a couple of the VS push up, date bras. They are so pretty! But I have to get a 32D, and I’m normally like a full B, small C cup
My mom laughed her ass off though when I told her I was a D cup, jokingly lol. I have a small chest.

YES YES YES THIS TIMES A MILLION. I’m a 30D and Dillard’s is my best friend.

if someone told you that you should be wearing a 42 band size you might feel bad that they think you are larger than you really are!! she even clarified that all she meant by it was someone saying you ahould be wearing a way larger size is bound to make anyone feel fat!
to OP: I think I’m the only person who actually likes my bras from VS and the panties! I know it’s all overpriced but they last better than some of the cheaper ones I’ve bought! I’m always open to new places though!
