What does he think this is, the 60s/70s?  Ha.  What a jerk.  Does your fiance feel comfortable talking to the owner of the building about it?   I don’t know what you would say, though…  You could also wait for something to happen again and then go to the police if it does.

WOW…there just aren’t enough words to explain how I feel about that!

@the_future_mrs:  You take yourself right round to the building supervisor and report it.  His behaviour was despicable and rude, and absolutely revolting!

That was beyond RUDE. How dare he and think there would be no repercussions. Report it and let the building management deal with him. What restraint your Fiance has!

There would have been an assault. From me to that shithead. Tell the building owner at the very least. There is no need to let him get away with harassing you.

And thank you to your fiance for his service. Regardless of political beliefs, those men and women are out there in situations that make me far too chickenshit to ever join the military.

Oh, and p.s. they aren’t just out there ‘murdering’, a good friend was deployed last year, and he spent most of the time helping an Afghan town develop plans for (and build) a school and a water system.

Wait wait wait… you said he is USED TO BEING SPIT ON?!?!? That is NOT ok.  That IS assault.  I’m a veteran as well and I can tell you if anyone spit on me I’d punch them.  I obviously lack self-restraint, but seriously!  Say whatever you want to me or about me, go ahead.  I don’t have to agree with you but I will defend TO THE DEATH your right to say it.  But do not EVER expel your bodily fluids onto my person or I will call the cops and I will press charges.  THIS IS NOT OK!!!

I would press charges in a heartbeat. Spitting on someone is (in my opinion) one of the most despicable, disgusting acts imaginable. Maybe if he was faced with some consquences your neighbor would think before he acts.

That is unspeakably horrible and beyond rude.  I am so, so sorry you had to experience something like that.  Please do report it – that was unconscionable.

What a piece of shit. I would absolutely tell your landlord. There is NO reason for that level of disrespect. I admire your FI’s restraint but had that been my husband and I, he would have had to tear me away from that fucker.
