Okay I know like 2 days ago I posted my mini rant about the Bell salesperson being sexist, but now I have a more “legitimate” rant. (Just some forewarning mods- little bit of swearing here.)
So like every morning, today I was driving Fiance to work. (FI is in the military). Which means we leave our condo, and then go into the lobby and down the elevator to our underground parking.
While we were in the elevator, there was this new couple in there. Up until now, Fiance and I were definitely the youngest ones in the building. Almost everyone else is late 60’s/70’s. Anyways, this couple was probably in mine and FI’s range (21-26 ish).
The elevator ride is literally like 10 seconds, so right up until the door to basement parking opens, they say nothing. Then out of nowhere, this youngish guy SPITS on my Fiance, and calls him (and I quote): “Fucking murderer.”
SERIOUSLY?! Fiance was super calm about it, and didn’t say anything. As long as he’s in his uniform, he can’t anyways. I was shocked and basically useless, so I ended up just loudly saying “What the fuck?!”
And then they walked out and went to their car…
Like, wow. Seriously.
Normally spitting on someone is actually considered assault, but we’re not going to go the police or anything extreme like that. What I’m wondering is: do Fiance and I have any merit to go to the super/owner of our building and complain..? Because I’m not cool with having some guy spit on him!
The building owner is a really nice guy, I’m just wondering if it will accomplish anything. I basically just want him to warn them not to harass my Fiance in elevators… Or ever talk to us again.
Ugh, people can be so awful sometimes.
