I’m so sentimental, I know I’ll have to keep it. I’m so torn about preserving it though… what if I want to put it on again someday, just for fun? Ah, I don’t know. I don’t think I can part with it though.

I am selling mine once the wedding is over in october. I know I wont get anywhere near the $900 back, but making even half on it is worth it. Alhough I am extremely sentimental, for some reason I am not about my gown. But I couldnt imagine taking scissors to it to make a tree skirt or pillow. Thats one expensive a$$ pillow!  Id rather try to pay it forward and help out someone else by offering a near mint gown (god willing) at a bargain price.

I keep mine in it’s clear bag, hanging on the outside of my bedroom closet door. It looks romantic and beautiful, and I get to look at it everyday!

My mom actually came up with a great idea – after 30 years of keeping in the closet (with hopes that I’d wear it – sorry Mom, maybe if you didn’t get married in the 80’s!) she is having a seamstress make it into a Christening gown.  I thought that was such a wonderful idea and great way to keep it in the family in a way that will guarantee that it gets used!
