Wacky cycles happen to A LOT of people the exact month they start TTC :/  I think it’s just one of those things!

Good luck though!  I read something about how you’re most fertile between 1 and 3 days PRIOR to ovulation so you just might have had perfect timing after all.

@PinkTeapot:  I’ve just started attempting to chart, more for curiosity than anything – started only a couple weeks ago, I’m generally pretty regular with my cycles…doesn’t my period show up a week early this month!?  WTF – never happens.  We’re not TTC at the moment, not until after the wedding, but all the charting info on here made it seem pretty easy and sensible, so why not?

A wacky cycle is what wound me up pregnant! I was just charting and avoiding my fertile days.

Normally I’d ovulate around CD 17-18

…so I had sex once that month unprotected, waayyy before I could be fertile…

…untill my body decided to ovulate on CD 14. We had sex on CD 9.

VOILA! Baby created!

Hahaha… who knows, maybe you got the eggy after all? It just takes that one, magical time!

Good luck!

We did it just once the month I got pregnant, at least during the fertile time.  It was probably 3 days or so before ovulation.  So it could always happen!

It was my first month off BCP and I told him he had to pull out for the next couple of months until after our wedding.  He didn’t listen to me the first time!

@PinkTeapot:  I hear you on this, 100%! My cycles are between 30 and 34 days, and I usually ovulate around day 20. The first month I was off birth control (still TTA) I ovulated on day 16 and we BD that morning!

Even better? We started officially TTC in October, and I had a 53 day cycle! Ovulated around day 40! So frustrating!

I have zero stress about TTC, I feel no pressure or worries really, and I couldn’t believe it. This month it looks like I ovulated on day 16 again! Just wild.

@PinkTeapot:  I had my IUD removed in mid-July with intentions to start TTC in October. I wanted to give about 3 months to regulate. Well, October was when I had my wild 53-day cycle! Looks like I’m on track for a 28 or 30 day cycle this time. I can’t keep up! We managed to get in O and O-2, so we’ll see.

@PinkTeapot:  Ah, mother nature! Well, good luck! All you need is one time, so fx you get it on the first try!

I bought a Clearblue Fertility Monitor. My cycles were way too wacky for my level of patience. No chance of missing my window then!
