Does anyone have any experience with them? As my other post explained, I have been having a horrible time with my original lender (just got my 4th GFE from them in one week). So I am in the process of applying through Wells Fargo. We already got a pre approval, and it’s now in underwriting (which is really just the first round of underwriting…it’s a little different with them).
Any of you guys have experience with them? We have 49 days until closing (hopefully) and I just want this DONE!!!!

I used to work for a branch of Wells Fargo and I can tell you that their customer service is not good. When we bought our house I still worked for them and wanted to go through them, but the mortgage lady left me hanging high and dry for three weeks, and I had to find someone new to go through. You might have an ok experience getting the mortgage, but I really don’t like their customer service at all and know from my past customers that they had a lot of trouble as well. (the 1-800 number they make you call)

my Future Sister-In-Law is through them and I’m not sure how they are. Just make sure you ask them if you can close by your close date. I was past 30 days when we had to switch lenders so we had to push back by about 4 days… but it wasn’t a big deal…
I want to say Future Sister-In-Law likes them… if I find out differently I’ll let you know..

We went through Wells Fargo to buy both of our houses, and we’ve had good experiences. We had two different mortgage brokers, and both of them were very knowledgeable and helpful. For our second home (bought last Septemeber) our Wells Fargo mortgage broker actually helped us out a lot when the title company kept throwing in random fees and switching up conditions. She was super helpful. Also, we were approved for better interest rates through Wells Fargo than through two other national banks when we bought our first house. We were happy enough with them that we chose to use them again for our second house.
I think, just like with any chain, there are good and bad Wells Fargo employees. FWIW, we do almost all our banking through Wells Fargo, and we’ve never had a problem customer service personnel didn’t immediately fix.

My mortgage is through them and I’ve had a good experience. The communication is great since the response time is quick. There was some delay due to inquiries and a hang up in underwriting, but we closed prior to the deadline.
