And It was nice, we hung out and had a bottle of wine after I spent some time with my family. It was a wonderful day and I loved having some strawberry rubarb pie and ice cream! I did have a liiittttle hope for it to happen last night, but im not dissapointed. I guess im on the waiting list for a while longer! Glad I have the Bees to keep me company 🙂

LOL this was me on my Bday this past year….and then our anniversary this past year. Seems that even though I’m always preaching about NOT preferring a proposal to happen over a Bday or holiday…I always look for one anyway!
Just hang in there!!

Well, my fiance was dead set against proposing on/around my birthday or a holiday. Both his brothers have birthdays right around Christmas, and he grew up hearing them complain about the whole ‘combo present’ idea. So he was determined that this was going to be a totally separate day! You know he’ll be asking soon, stay positive!

It’s so difficult NOT to expect something on these events. I was pretty sure it would happen on our 6 year anniversary this year, but nope. I’ve learned to accept that my SO wants to create a special day of our own for a proposal, and I’m good with that.

@Koifish: Exactly. I literally still thought there could be a chance that my SO would propose on our anniversary, despite the fact that he had to work late and couldn’t even help make dinner. I should’ve known, but SOMETHING still said “maybe…” lol

My birthday recently passed as well…it so hard NOT to think about getting proposal on such a special day. Hang in there, it’ll come in due time 🙂
