Wow, never considered trying and now won’t even go there.  Gotta say though it make us all appreciate WB even more.

Y’all should’ve read the one where the poor girl wanted to include Disney stuff in their wedding cause they met working there or something like that. Ripped.Her.Apart. I love the hive. ๐Ÿ™‚

Personally, I like Wedding Bee so much more than The Knot. It’s real blogging, and it features so much more DIY and realistic budgeting than The Knot’s featured weddings. I pick up their regional (MD/DC/VA) magazine in which they feature area weddings. These weddings are like Platinum weddings on WE! It’s just ridiculous. I love the ‘Bee because it’s so welcoming and bride friendly without all the drama!

I will say the weddingbee board is the most friendly and supportive board I have ever been on! I am a heavy lurker on the weight watchers board, but am usually pretty scared to do more than ask questions on the newbie board…some of those folks can be brutal!! But never the bees! Thank you all in the hive!

I posted one question on theknot boards once and got a bunch of super snarky remarks.  Unlike here, where if you ask a question that may have already been asked and the bees still answer you or kindly direct you to a common thread, I got a few comments along the lines of “ugh! Someone’s asking this question AGAIN!”  Suffice it to say that I never posted another thing on there again!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE wedding bee ๐Ÿ™‚ and all the BEES on here. i posted ONE question in general about my reception and got the rudest of comments on TK. i mean, nasty nasty comments back and so judgemental.

the point of these boards is for constructive criticism NOT personal digs…i love wedding bee because all of the bees i have noticed so far, are more than helpful and supportive of one another. thats how it should be!

gotta love WB!

Oh, I know! Didn’t know about wedding bee for a while and was on the Knot a LOT. Those girls were terribly rude and inconsiderate constantly. I was so glad when I found WB!

However, has anyone started to notice that it seems that more and more of those girls from theknot are creeping over here? I wonder what WB will do to keep people like that away, if its possible!

i agree that the local boards are cool, but the other women on there are simply psychotic it’s like they use a bashing session as therapy and well i’m not nice enough to deal with them because i bite back lol therefore i’ll just stay here ๐Ÿ˜€

my DH (fiance at the time) saw theknot.com and was so thoroughly horrified with it that it’s on the “boycott” list along with Martha Stewart, Crocs (excluding on babies and medical professionals), and cooking a steak well done. Hehehe!

haha as long as your crocs aren’t following you to the mall or a restaurant or something ๐Ÿ™‚ Though not for me, i could see the appeal of mopping or gardening or something with them?

And ‘fraid so on Martha. Remember the end of terminator 2 when you started to see Arnold’s metal skeleton when he melted? I can vividly picture what would happen if Martha got a deep papercut while doing one of her DIY projects or something – her gears and robot insides would show through the cracks!

I used to go on the Knot all of the time although I never posted anything for fear of being bullied. I was so very relieved when I found WB cause all of you ladies rock!

I have read tons of posts on the wedding bee, and posted a few times and have loved the responses…

The knot scared me, and when I had a question, my first instinct was to come here.

I ignored it and went to the knot.

BOY was I knocked off my horse.

FROM ONE question I asked I got a ton of responses, ALL bullying me, and when I deleted the post, because the responses were so BRUTAL, some girl had COPIED THE POST and when I deletied it, RE POSTED IT and everyone and their mom had fun bashing me. from comments like, “I hope you don’t pro create”, to even more worse, obscene ones.

THEY EVEN started talking about how POOR my fiance and I are (even though they don’t even know us!) My fiance makes very good money, and with that being said, I do not have to work full time..and he doesn’t want me to. I am very involved with the community and help a very successful and rewarding youth program. Not having to have a full time job because we CAN afford it is such a blessing because I am able to help kids that REALLY need it. My question wasn’t even ABOUT “work”! That was one sentance in my 2 paragraph post!!

 they totally bashed me completely.

WEDDING BEE FOR LIFE!!!! <3
