Even though this site doesn’t update their stuff and isn’t as well known….I would much rather get advice here. People seem more nice and open to NEW ideas. Everyone on the Knot acted like they knew everything. I had some brides telling me what to do and their weddings were years ago…umm? I also hate how the Knot makes you type in your info…I have had sooo many random emails and calls from vendors. Yuck. I had to e-mail them to cancel my account but thank goodness I did. Offbeat Bride is also a good site for girls who aren’t princesses. 🙂

Oh come on everyone.  For one thing you’re not supposed to make threads bitching about other sites.  Also, The Knot is awesome.  It’s actually not so awesome now because all the regs left and it’s TOTALLY boring now.  The boards were so active and fun, especially Etiquette.  You could actually say it like it is with no censorship.

@oneofthesethings:  +1. And holy crap is this an old thread! You know the etiquette regs totally would’ve flamed you for even posting on it Wink

I considered going on the Knot… then it asked for my address.  Fuck that noise.

After reading this thread I’m glad I stayed off it.

Well isn’t this thread a blast from the past! We love all of the love and support you all have for Weddingbee. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, though. We love positivity here, so we can’t condone threads that are written to talk badly about another specific forum.

Here’s the line from our Terms of Service.

Thanks all!
