@Earlybride: Hmm, in the state of MD, we don’t go by points, we got by the number of tickets for insurance purposes. Unless you get a “major” violation (5 points or more). And, the only way they would know about the ticket is if they pulled your driving record, which is usually only in an at fault accident.

@Earlybride: I forgot to add, I would have went with option 2 as well!

12 points within 3 years gets your license taken away here as well.  So yeah, I would definitely pay a little more money to have no points, just in case something happened in the near future!

@Earlybride: I would have saved the $90 as the insurance company will find out about it anyway, and I don’t get tickets so 2 points would not even phase me in the long run.  But tht is just for me and my driving, the Darling Husband on the other hand would have been the complete oposite as he is always getting pulled over.

@tksjewelry: I at first thought that as well, but the only reason i thought of option 2 being better is becuase you really don’t know what will happen in the future, and spending the extra money is worth not having a possible hassle later and maybe costing more money.

Uhhh…. I pick Option 3: Other. I’m marrying the last police officer who gave me a ticket! And no, it didn’t get me out of it lol

We can do driving school once every 2 or 3 years here and that wipes the point off your record.  They don’t have a sheet to streamline the process here (that I know of…haven’t done it in a long time). I just went and talked to the prosecutor and they make you a “deal.”  I probably would have paid the extra $95 and done the zero points deal.  4 points is a lot.

No pts!  The premium on your insurnace for the next 3 years until the pts drop would be more than $95 i think.

We have no option like that here. No point options here
