Wow! Share a plate?? What?? No A/C in Texas in July?? Oh my gosh…not sure I could have managed to stay the whole time. I think I may have become “sick” and had to leave. What was the “Baby Making” song she walked down the aisle to? lol  Sounds like a wedding you will certainly never, ever forget! And not in a good way!

@pinkandsparkly: I was thinking the same thing!! WTF did she spend $28K on in Texas and end up with share a plate and not enough food or drink?

My mouth is just hanging open here. OP, I never would have stayed with the heat and no water, ugh!

One thing to be thankful for – at least she was wearing underwear. 🙂

Haha thank you so much for posting! My wedding is a mere 5 days away and now I’m feeling much better! 🙂

Your comment about needing some ones made me LOL!

you should totally ask them what cost 28000.  i went to a rather fail wedding this weekend too and it made me feel better, is that bad?

How many cheesy 90’s R&B songs can you play in a span of three hours? A lot, that’s how many.

this cracked me up……it was the way you put it that was so funny… LOL

sounds like a  $28,000 wedding on a shoestring

are you sure the decimal point was in the right place? or did she add a couple too many zeros?   it sounds like a $280  wedding.

All I can think is ‘how can you make your guests share plates, even if they are couples!!!’

nothing like hearing that story to make you realize you can only do better!  I’m sure yours will be 100x better!  note to yourself: serve water, make sure AC is one, DJ has acceptable playlist, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are fitted well, kids are controlled and your caterer has enough food & forks.  done. easy.

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Man, what a trip. After stories like this (and attending similar events) I too, came to the same conclusion.

Wow, I can’t believe the craziness of this wedding! Just nuts! Are you sure that she didn’t spend $2800 on the wedding not $28,000? After our wedding was said and done, we spent about $30,000 in Milwaukee two years ago. I know for a fact that majority of our budget went to food and drink. Food and drink cost way more than my dress and accessories combined! People still rave about our wedding to this day because we had an awesome buffet and lots of drinks. Everyone was well fed and entertained. I would have seriously left the second that we would have to share plates and not get booze.

Did the bride & groom share a plate too?
