@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:

So minus the dress and the bling it was a 500 dollar wedding?

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: The dress doesn’t match up to everything that you described about the whole wedding. She’s super elegant while everyone else is laid back and casual to the point of being a redneck wedding. Was that dress really $10,000? I’m sure that she could have gotten that cheaper with a different designer. I’m still blown away by this whole wedding that you attended. I think my parents attended a wedding some time ago where the dress was more than the food and everything. I remember my parents feeling like it was a crap wedding too.

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:

Oh my Gosh, this does sound horrible. Why on earth would she play “make a baby” music on her walk down the aisle? Thanks for the good laugh!

*** Hey that looks very much like my e-ring 🙂

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Whoa, seriously!?!? My brother had a different entree from the rest of the guests at his wedding. That was the only difference. I just can’t comprehend how the bride and groom are having steak, some of their party is eating pizza, and their guests get nothing.

Oddly enough, it reminds me of one of the weddings on Four Weddings where they did a heavy appetizer reception and ran out of food. The brides ended up calling out for takeout Italian. To me, that’s being a horrible hostess if you can’t remotely feed your guests.

Wow this wedding keeps sounding better and better!  I don’t know why they would want the brag about the cost of the wedding beforehand based on how they did things.  (I wouldn’t want to talk about the cost of the wedding no matter how it was done unless I was talking to a friend about an awesome deal from an amazing vendor or something small like that).

I would rather eat with my hands than share utensils. Ick.

They did not spend $28000. I grew up in Texas – I know what a $28000 wedding looks like there. I myself had a $28000 wedding – in the most expensive neighborhood of San Diego CA where I rented out the Museum of Contemporary Art, had extensive lighting, a top shelf open bar, huge buffet, $5500 photographer etc etc etc. It was luxe. You can’t spend $28000 in rural Texas and end up with what they ended up with.

I know everyone has already said this. There is no way they spent 28,000. Either she completely lied to make herself feel better, or else she honestly got “twenty eight hundred” mixed up with “twenty eight thousand.” (Which really, is not that hard to do.) And given the, um, Klassiness of the wedding, [ok, SO sorry in advance for negative stereotypes, please forgive me in advance and don’t jump all over me…] then maybe she is the kind of person who might not competely understand the grammatical difference?

Whoah, wait – I’m just catching back up on this thread – the bridal party had different food!? I didn’t know I could get even more shocked about how everything went down. Seriously, why have guests at all? They should have just done some elaborate dinner with their bridal party only and called it a day.

Finding out about the different food just makes it so so much worse!! Being rude makes a wedding a bad one! If your not rude to your guests then most people can put up with anything at a wedding.

Wow!!  Sounds more like a 28,000 Mexican peso wedding!  Thanks for the laughs, I’m sure your wedding will be incredible 🙂
