- Wedding: October 2010
We are back from the two weeks of beachness the surrounded our wedding. Our per-wedding family vacation in the Outer Banks was lovely (for my husband and family) and stressful for me, but the week we spent in St. Lucia was well worth it and hot! We are now back with some tans and rings on our fingers and hating the fact that work is just around the corner!
Some highlights from our weddinging week included my husband forgetting his wallet at Starbucks over an hour from where we were. Without it we couldn’t get our marriage license but luckily my brother was just passing the area and was able to retrieve the wallet…I cried when he found it! We also had to worring about the tides (it was up to the dunes Monday but was perfect by the wedding) and deal with a fishing tournament the day of the wedding the left the beach full of tire marks. All the guys smoothed the sand with some buggy-boards before setting up for the ceremony.
Other than these few things the wedding itself went smoothly. My favorite part from the ceremony was walking towards my husband-to-be only to find him crying like a baby. He said he wasn’t going to cry, but I knew better, especially since we chose not to see each other before the ceremony. During the reception he presented me with my wedding present which was a second wedding band (he kept saying he forgot to get me something and would just buy me something during the honeymoon). It was so funny because all the guys started hating on my husband since their wives all said they wanted a second band…my one brother refused to look at my set! I couldn’t stop laughing.
Here are a couple non-pro pictures from our wedding that some family took:
