My BF, scratch that, (FI)!!!, proposed on Saturday 07/15/17. It was everything I could of dreamed of.
We started off the night having a beach front/rooftop dinner at the same restaurant that we celebrated our 1 year anniversary (I thought we were celebrating another close of escrow).
After dinner, we “decided” to go down to the cove and thats where he surprised me with his proposal and all of my favorite things, including my friends and family (after he asked, of course). They were in hiding and cheered for us, came down to congratulate us and then we celebrated privately watching the sunset. His words to me were so special, I dont even think I noticed the ring during the proposal. I cried as he was speaking and he teared up to. I had no idea he asked for my Mom’s blessing nor that he was going to ask so soon. It was perfect! Im so lucky to get to witness life with such an incredible man!❤❤
I am absolutely in LOVE with him and my ring. In my culture we wear the ering and band together (our preist prays on the rings, as well as my FI’s band) and we wear them on the right ring during our enagagement. When we get married we put our rings on our left hand (closest to the heart).
I helped design my ring, but I didnt get to see it in person until the proposal. I didnt know it at the time, but the band does not sit flush and I absolutely love that! I love how it shows the distinction of the two separate rings (my bands are very thin, 2mm). My FI said that if I wanted another band to wear along with my current ering and band, or to wear alone with my band on occassion, that he can get me one, but for some reason I think that would be a bit much.
Bees, what do you think?
Please show me your erings & bands with and without gaps ❤
