It happened! After just over 6 years he asked me to marry him. It was perfect.
How he did it: As I was getting off work he asked me when I would be home, and that he was going to take our dog for a walk near the pond we frequent and that I should meet him there. I was definintely a bit suspicious but I tried not to get my hopes up. So I walk down to where the pond is, and as I turn the corner I see him all dressed up. He stands up and tells me he doesn’t want to have to call me his girlfriend anymore, and he reaches into the nook of a tree and grabs the ring box. Then he’s kneeling down and asking me to marry him! I was shaking like a leaf when I said “Absolutely!”. We immediately called our family members as he had dinner reservations at our favorite restaruant an hour later and we didn’t want to talk to people while at dinner. Everyone was so excited to hear the news!
About the Ring: Its a 1.1 carat forever brilliant cushion cut moissanite from moissaniteco. To anyone thinking of going with moissanite I say go for it! Its stunning!
Advice for waiting bees: If you trust that your man has good intentions, don’t turn the waiting period into something unpleasant. Don’t ask him when he’s going to propose to the point that it feels like a chore. I’m really glad I let him do it at his own pace, even if it felt like it was taking forever. If you’re getting frustrated let him know! But also recognize what a huge step this is and that it can be daunting for some people. And know that when it happens it will make all the waiting worth it, because you’ll be marrying your best friend!

claire345: Its the sol307, the petite Tiffany setting (Or something similarly named)
claudiavu: I did help him out, I gave him some options to choose from and this was the one he liked the best, and I definitely agree with his choice!

Congrats!! Beautiful ring!!
I definitely agree with your advice on trying to be a patient waiting bee. Fiance & I were together 4.5 years before he proposed & about 2 years of that I was ‘waiting’. Great advice! So worth the wait.
