Totally not wedding related, we ordered our tickets for the Chicago Fall Out Boy / Paramore Monumentour for July 11th, totally excited about that.
Wedding related wise, today I put $300 on the photographer, so we have $1200/$2100 paid on her so far.
I’m also ordering more exetension cords, [we need like 12 2 prong and 16 3 prong], butter mints, easels for picture frames & signs, put money back for cocktail hour food [we are going to be making this ourselves], got the bottles i need to make lemon & strawberry skittle vodkas [need them for our signature drinks].
We went to gordons last week and got all of the stuff we could get ahead of time for the buffet [sugar, creamer, salad dressing, croutons, nacho meat, nacho cheese, jalapenos, ect].
Printed out all of our signature drink menus, still waiting to print out the dinner menus until closer to the time just to make sure the menu doesn’t change.
signature drink menus [closer to the date I will add a little pearl to each one] :
bathroom basket & photo booth signs :
I took my tulle table skirt to work because it was just getting a little too long to work on it at home anymore, this is what I have done so far. Obviously, it’s a work in progress, one side is longer than the other – once I get done with it I’ll attach it to a table and cut it down to floor length. It’s about 7 feet long now, in total I need 13 feet. I really love it!

Just ordered the uplighting gels in bright pink, so excited!
Ordered 3 7 foot birch poles and curtains to create an arch at the ceremony.
Maybe something like this, but with curtains :
Also starting searching for the groom & Bridesmaid or Best Man ties.. man we’re having a tough time with this one.
The tie SO wants is around $40 each when you include shipping, and is terribly hard to find. It’s an eddie van halen tie, this exact one : $80 on ties just seems like too much to spend.
We found this really cute tie, and it’s something he’d love, but I can’t fine two, just one!

Finished the hand-stitching on the last cup sleeve yesterday! And I mailed the invitations on Friday! Things are moving along! Bridal shower and bachelorette party next week! (I have an out-of-state bridesmaid that needs to be measured for her dress, so we planned these parties earlier specifically so she could fly in and get measured, but were also able to bundle the trip with one to attend another friend’s wedding the following week, see her family, etc.)

Last night, I printed all of the table numbers, and the “Cards” & “Please Sign Our Guest Book” signs. I’m going to the Dollar Store this week to buy black frames to put the table numbers in.
I used an exacto knife to make a slit in a buttload of corks for escort cards, I now have a callous on my finger. Still have ~50 more to slice. Hopefully they’ll look something like this when all is said and done!:
My veil arrived yesterday, and my shoes are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
I also put together the banner for our photobooth backdrop last night (from Etsy):
Next project: stripping labels off of 100 wine bottles for centerpieces.

I’ve been kind of lazy today.
I need to make a complete list of dinner music for my dj, as well as prelude and ceremony music.
Need to work on my program a little bit.

Wow you have so much DIYing to do! I LOVE it!!!!!!! I’m a project kind of person and love to just sit there and build stuff. I put together 70 bridal shower favors the other day all by myself with a Corona and a good movie on. I could do that all day long.
I love your drink menus. The pearl is really going to pop with that color behind it.

I really love DIY, too! When I get time, that is. I only work on things 2 days a week [my days off].

Well the color of font was to dark for my signs, (thank god prints are cheap at costco) however, this sign that will be going by our champane for toasting and our cake, came out nice!
I got the initial votive holder from Pottery Barn on clearance!

Today I’m getting my prelude, ceremony & recessional music burned to a cd for my DJ.
Also typing up the dinner music list for her as well.
We found a cabin on the beach that we’d like to stay at for 3 days of our honeymoon, and a really lovely apartment in Chicago for 5 days.
Hm.. that’s pretty much it until we get paid on friday!

My bouquet, boutinierres, corsages are all COMPLETELY DONE!! I still need to figure out what (if anything) I want to do with the bridesmaids’ flowers (a single long-stemmed rose each)
And I’ve made real progress on my brother’s bridesman present, which makes me really happy! I was very worried about that, b/c my sewing skills are not where I’d like them to be, so I never know how long a project might take!

I’m just starting to make my invitations. I’m doing everything myself (it’s just paper, I aint paying nobody to do it!) so I figure it’ll take a few weeks and we should be able to send them out by the end of the month. I’m making the prototype today so when my Fiance comes home from work he can give it his approval! I have still so much to do though, I think I need to stick a big list on my wall and cross things off as they get done, just so I don’t lose my mind!

108 days for us! It’s getting SO exciting but I feel so very pressured, like there isn’t enough time in the day!
We have $13,205 out of our $15,257 budget paid off, which is roughly 86% of the wedding paid off.
To make sure out wedding is paid off the week before the wedding, we need to add $137 to the wedding every week [which is totally doable].
However, this only includes 3 days of the honeymoon so far.
So what have I done this week?
I finished up my yard signs… adding stakes to the back so I can put them into the ground. These are what they look like [without the stakes] –
Figured out what we’re doing for the rest of our honeymoon –
2 nights at a casino on lake michigan,
2 nights in a cabin directly on the beach [and I mean ON the beach.. you open the door and you are there!]
4 nights in chicago at a beautiful vintage apartment [and of course enjoying all kinds of attractions in chicago!]
spending 2 nights at in crestwood, illinois
and finally 2 nights at Sybaris [which will be our favorite part of the trip… in room swimming pool!]
we paid more money towards the photographer and officiant
that’s pretty much it for this week.. things are moving kind of slow.. just working on finishing any lingering DIY projects that I forgot about!

I FINISHED THE COSPLAY BACKPACK!! …ish. The backpack itself (minus the liner) is done, and I cut out the wings last night, so just gotta assemble and then attach wings and liner. But this is a relief, b/c I’d modified the backpack pattern, so I’m really glad that it worked correctly! :p

This week its all about paying our minimum, our downpayment for the restructured welcome party, and I had my first fitting yesterday!
