Not at all– I’ve been wearing mine for a few hours at a time for several weeks now– I’m trying to get used to the feel of it, so that I wont be constantly fiddling with it on my wedding day.

I don’t really believe in luck but I don’t wear mine because then I don’t feel that it will be as special on my wedding day, I want it to be all exciting instead of ‘oh, i’ve worn it before, no biggie’.

I don’t necessarily think it’s bad luck, but I tried not to let myself do it just in case bad wedding karma does exist. πŸ˜‰

I slip it on from time to time to ooh and aww at them together…until Fiance “threatens” to hide it from me lol.

I never leave the house with it on, that’s my rule.  I did this the first time I was married (wore it to my mom’s to show her, wore it to work the day I was dropping it off at the Jeweler’s to be sized) and then my husband got sick 6 months after the wedding, and eventually passed away.  Are these two things related?  OF COURSE NOT, but I can’t take the chance, LOL.  I wear mine around the house sometimes to get the feel of it, because I genuinely wasn’t sure if it was too thick and if I needed a different one.  Jury is still out on that.

However, my sister frequently wore hers because at the time worked in a bar and was afraid of getting mugged in the parking lot, and her wedding band didn’t cost as much as her engagement ring.  She has been happily married for 14 years, has 2 beautiful daughters and has a great life with her husband…so I don’t think it’s bad luck at all.

Ooh, also, in other countries their tradition is to wear the wedding band on the right hand before the wedding, and on the left after.  Surely they’re not ALL cursed, right?  So there ya go Wink

I wore mine once outside the house, because Fiance had just picked it up from the jewelery store for me, and he didn’t want me to lose it. I asked “isn’t this bad luck?” and he said “losing it before the wedding would be even worse luck!” πŸ™‚

I slip mine on here and there for a couple seconds.  I do not believe it’s bad luck.

I’ve put it on for a couple minutes probably 3 times, but the other night Fiance and I wore ours just sitting watching TV one night “just to practice”  πŸ™‚

I didn’t. Not because of luck but because I wanted to have that to look forward to.

Ha! I had to take my engagement ring in to be resized, so I felt naked for a couple of days and wore my wedding band for one of them. I didn’t tell my Fiance and he didn’t notice at first, but when he saw it he kind of fussed at me and said it was bad luck! I don’t think it’s bad luck, but I shouldn’t have worn it … it’s just so pretty! πŸ™‚

I don’t believe in luck really. I don’t think its completely bad but I think you should hold off. Its just another something to look forward to on your wedding day, finally being able to wear your wedding band. I like suspense, its always worth it, even if its torture, haha.
