My beautiful fiancee arrived for a super-long visit yesterday morning (we are UK-US long distance at the moment) – and we celebrated by officially getting engaged! We went to a beautiful, quiet spot in a small town not far from where I live, and had such a lovely afternoon in the gazebo. Fiance and I aren’t comfortable with posting face pictures, but here are a few pictures of our rings!
Mine is the east-west setting, and hers is the classic four-prong. We got them from Blue Nile, and half the fun was doing the research and shopping until we found the perfect diamonds for us. Mine is .62 ct / ideal / J / VS1 and hers is .26 ct / ideal / J / VS1. (We wanted to have ‘ring twins’ although we didn’t want them to match…we thought having the same specs was the way to go!) We found Blue Nile’s customer service to be absolutely fantastic and would definitely recommend them.

ladybennett: Congrats, beautiful rings!
Also was the size deliberate too? Just wondering because 0.26 is 0.62 in reverse (and vice versa) which I think is really cool!

Congratulations! Love that your rings are similar and compliment each other, but aren’t identical. Gorgeous engagement location, too!
