jpbee:  you gave to be careful using the cell phone pics, you can’t make them very big without losing quality.  Usual around 4×6 is the biggest I think.

Unfortunately, no. I had two photogs and they missed a lot of important shots, like everyone walking down the aisle (except me), my grooms face when he saw me, a straight on shot of all of us(inc bridal party) during ceremony, our sunset pics she forgot about, no pictures of us with guests, no table shots… But i did get a lot of great ones! Seemed like she focused more on the little details of the day then the important stuff 🙁

If i could do it again, i would have picked experience over price.

I totally get it.  I love my pictures… but at at the same time… there are little things that I notice in them that drive me crazy.  None of these things were the photographers fault lol… for example, the venue coordinator pur my mr and mrs sign (which has sentimental value to me) on our sweetheart table crooked, looking at it makes me cringe lol Im such a perfectionist! also, my maid of honor bought me one of those last name in wire hangars, my dad totally smashd it while getting my dress out of the car and it had to be bent back into shape, it looks all effed up in the picture of it.  Also, no one told me I had a black mascaray eyebooger during the ceremony so in the close up shots you can see it!

I do realize that these are all things that I need to LET GO OF!  and i do for the most part.  I just avoid looking at those specific pics 🙂  thats what we get for caring too much lol

I was a little dissapointed at first. My reasoning was zoom. The photographer was zoomed in a LOT on formal poses. As in we were standing in such a way that we thought our full body was being shot, but he was only looking at our head and shoulders. He never communicated this too us.

But I got over it because at least we looked good in the closeups. Also, our photographer is new to the business (that’s how we got him so cheap), so I guess it’s an experience thing too.

Oh well.

There were some shots that the photographer missed – well, the only ones were that I wish that they had gotten a picture of each table and the guests sitting at that table, I thought that was standard.  They did though get a lot of really good shot, no bad ones actually, and overall they did an amazing job.  We paid good money for it though lol.

truthah:  Can I just say, once again: Stupid Pinterest and the overly perfect expectations you create!

AMEN! When I think back to how we used to get pictures.. first of all digital cameras were not the norm. You snapped and hoped for the best when you got them developed sometime weeks later LOL. There were no do-overs. So you didn’t like, you dealt with it.  I will cherise my childhood album.

I think technology now has to made so people have a totally warped perceptions of others and themselevs. We aren’t models. Imperfections are part of the process but we want to erase them away about all Hollyweird. It’s kinda sad. Don’t get me wrong, I totally get pics at weird angle that aren’t flattering, but some of things we as women tear ourselves up about and no one else see’s the so called “negatives” we are so focused on.
