    I waited SO LONG!!! aaghh

    I waited a little while

    I knew it was coming

I didn't know it was coming

I kind of knew it was coming, but didn't really know when

I wasn't sure I was ready for him to propose!

I wasn't sure until he asked, and then I KNEW

I wasn't sure until he asked, and I still wasn't sure!

I wasn't ready the first time!

@Booknerd:  I’m in the same situation as you, my SO has said that he will propose by September 2013 – 10  months.  Do you feel relaxed now that you have a timeline?

@pearllily:  Haha – NOPE!  Just makes me even MORE anxious!  He said by September 2013 to me as well!  But then again, that will mark 3 years of being together so I feel like that’s PLENTY of time for him to know.  I think it will be probably in a few months.  I’m just not the kind of person that has this thing called patience.  I also do not know how to not worry about things. lol

there was no proposal, there was a discussion!!!!  I was growing tired of waiting, and just asked a few details about his plans for us to “consolidate”.  Wanted to know in what capacity I would be in.  Got married 6 months later.

I asked him! not on the poll. We’d talked about it for a couple of years, I felt the time was right for us to make the next step and I didn’t see why he should have to take all the responsibility in the relationship.

He was a bit astonished but pleased (he didn’t say yes right away because he was so surprised!). I’m really glad I asked him, I reckon I made it much more romantic than he ever would have done

I was hoping it would happen. Its how I ended up on WB. We were going on a cruise, he said something like it would be an “IMPORTANT” trip – WTF does THAT mean?!?

I was so nervous..I asked my mum what she thought, she said maybe he just wants a darned vacation & for me to relax (he had told her of his plans – sly, sly woman). I must have googled “engaged on vacation” 100x, or “signs he will propose”…then we were there & on night 2…ta da..he popped the question.

We’d talked about marriage a few times (been dating 6 years), but we both weren’t sure we were ready, so that was about it. I guess I knew it’d happen eventually, but tried not to think about it too much (aside from the periodic “AM I ready?”). When he proposed, I was completely surprised, and any doubts immediately went away. Funny thing is, he said he still felt a little nervous when he was looking at rings, but as soon as he bought it, all the nerves went away.

I knew! I found the ring and then he planned an elaborate day of going to a water fall about an hours drive away in the middle of winter! I’m not a huge fan of surprises, but I dont mind pretending to be surprised at all to save the feelings of people I love!

I may have gone a little far however! On the day I was sure he would propose I waited until we got to the car and then claimed I had forgotten to go to the bathroom so I could sneak back in and check to see if the ring was gone from its hiding place! 😛

He has no idea I knew though! It would crush him! And even though I knew it was coming it was still amazingly emotional and wonderful!
