I was so surprised by his proposal that I was wowed there was a ring at all! But two years later and I still gaze at the sparkly, I think it’s just what I’d have chosen myself-I didn’t have to learn to love it.

I love my ring! It’s unique and completely ‘us.’ We picked it out together and I had a ton of input. I think being a part of the process and having a say in the ring I’ll be wearing forever was more important to me than the suprise factor.
My dad worked as a jeweler for many years and he’s a bit of a diamond snob, I don’t think he approves of my stone (it’s essentially a very included, ‘flawed’ diamond) but the choice was between me and my partner. Don’t let your mom’s opinion sway you! It’s your ring, your engagement, and your marriage.
I hope you find a ring you love! Don’t forget to come back and show us!
Here’s mine! Even though I saw photos and was a part of the design process, I was still WOWed and teary when he proposed. I also wanted something unique, so we got an entire engagement suite! (plus I get to pick out wedding band(s) later).

My ring is a simple round diamond solitiare. It is everything I wanted! I did not go for a fashion statement but something that would be timeless. I think its absolutely beautiful, understated and doesn’t conflict with my fashion choices.

Hey Congratulations, Girly! (sorry about the sizing flub, however, you do have it in your hot lil hands now though LOL) I’m happy for you.
I haven’t gotten through all of the comments yet and I just wanted to say “I feel you” I adore fashion, accessories, bags n shoes, etc and I was not wowed by my rings/engagement set (I wanted a heart solitaire) then quickly grew to LOVE em! We picked out a pre-owned set b/c of our finances and then he got a promo/raise the same month we got engaged 😁 eh, that’s life! Yes I’ll get a bigger diamond in the future, but once we’re married and I have three rings; I will keep my original…as Bees have taught me there is nothing wrong with having multiple sets.😉 This is my original /forever with all of its beauty, details, flaws, and all. So unique and so ‘me’.
Happy ring shopping/designing to you!

I love unique rings! Your set is so pretty and let’s just say neither of us ever need be concerned that we’ll look across a crowded room and have an um “ring twin”incident lol not that anything is wrong with that 😊

I was WOWed by mine, even though I hepled pick most of it out! I was lucky enough to get my dream ring, but I am not someone who wears a lot of jewelry, so I probably would have felt the same way no matter what. Sorry, I know that isnt much help for someone who loves jewelry! I do have a fashionista friend, and her and her DH designed a ring together because everything she saw in stores was too ordinary for her.

I AM wowed by my ring because I got to (help) choose it! I originally thought I wanted something more ornate and unique, but I ended up choosing something more simple and timeless, something I know I will never get bored with.

I love mine! I wanted something different as I’ve done the round, brilliant cut thing before. I love this so much more! Just in the process of choosing a wedding ring to go with it 🙂

your ring is beautiful! Do you spend a lot of time staring into the stone at all the special things inside of it? I be it looks like a tiny magical place if you look deep enough. I had never seen a diamond like this before you posted your ring in a different thread. I find them absolutely fascinating!

I was definitely wowed seeing mine in person for the first time (when he proposed), and I continue to be totally obsessed with it (sorry to those of you who are sick of seeing it on here!). But I did do a ton of research (pretty much the whole 2 years we were dating, lol – he was the first guy I wanted to look at rings for!) so don’t give up. Your tastes will likely continue to evolve, and when you hit the one, you’ll know – at least that’s what happened with us 🙂

I was very “wowed” when i saw it, partly because I was not expecting a proposal, and partly because he had figured out exactly the style I wanted.
That feeling was immediately followed by thinking he spent way too much.

Love it! The halo is so dainty! What size is your cushion and finger? Makes me want a halo on mine

Just got a new ring that my husband upgraded me to. Love it and especially how it matches the wedding band.
