@Kant: Of course call so you can fix it. I don’t think that this is just a target thing. It happens sometimes. No one is probably going to buy anything now anyways since your wedding is so far away.

I have a Target registry, but I only added items through their website, so I didn’t have the syncing problem. I would just call them and see if they can fix it for you. If you closed it, are you registered anywhere else?

We’ve had issues with our registry.  They are terrible about updating what items have been purchased.  My bridal shower was Sunday, and I got 3 of the same thing from Target and each person said they gave the registry to the cashier.  I logged on online and it said I received none of that item.  I corrected it online and then today, it says I received 4 of that item.  I guess it takes them a few days for their system to update when an item has been purchased. I have moved what I can off of my Target registry and onto my Macy’s registry just because my experience with Macy’s has been better.

My registry is BBB too, and you can return items there for cash… I’m just sayin…

Didn’t register at Target (wanted to!) so I can’t comment on the technical difficulties side, but I really, really, wouldn’t worry about no one having purchased anything yet. I doubt many people purchase 6 months ahead. Also, did you announce that you registered? Or how are your guests supposed to know you have registered?

I didn’t notice gifts being bought until right before my shower and then again right before the wedding.

I’d definitely get it figured out. As insane as it is now, can you imagine getting double and triples of things if there are glitches in the system? My Fiance says he wants to close our Target registry since we can get everything on amazon or BBB. And surprisingly things are cheaper at BBB so we are more likely to get them. The funny thing with our Target registry was human error. Instead of giving us the wedding welcome packet, they tried to give us the baby registry bag. I said, do you mind if I take a gander in here real quick? It was filled with formula coupons and diaper samples. I said, yeah we are registering for a wedding, we aren’t ready for this yet. They were extremely apologetic and we all laughed about it. I imagine that could potentially fuel a fight for some people haha.
